Perfect place for a quiet retreat. Really friendly staff and owners, great food, plenty of opportunities to do things around the island (walk, cooking class, boat trip) or just relax, read, and unwind in a hammock. If you are looking for a place to relax during your travels, this is the perfect place to stay for at least several days if not a week or more. The sunrises are absolutely beautiful. Tanoi and Sander were wonderful hosts and always available if you needed anything. They also checked in to see how I was doing throughout the day, and we had good conversations about Laos history and other topics. The first night I was there was Tanoi's birthday, and all guests were invited to the dinner celebration.
Room and bed were comfy. There was hot water in one of the shared bathrooms if needed.

Cheap dormitory (but not worth it)
A hostel with more natural space than the average. Backpacker’s hostel has multiple options for accommodation such as private rooms, family rooms and soon to have camping tents. This hostel is a nice mix between camping yet with access to restrooms, restaurants, bar and assistance for trekking or transportation services. A very relaxed and friendly environment ran by a lovely family who takes care of their community as well as their guests. Definitely recommend.
Best hostel ever ! So clean, the staff are amazing especially the lady at reception she is sooo kind. Free water, ice cream and fruit! Everything you could want from a hostel :)
The beds are large and incredibly confortable, and despite being in a dormitory, we each had some good privacy thanks to the curtains. After 2 months traveling in Asia, felt good to have a nice closed shower that is not above the toilet and that has hot water! And finally, their breakfast buffet in the morning is tasty so overall good experience here. It’s a very nice hostel I recommend before going to do the loop (they will keep your bag, and you can shower when coming back)
The best hostel in Pakse. The reception staff were incredibly hopeful and welcoming.
Best hostel I have ever stayed at in Laos. The girl at reception was beyond amazing!! thank you so much! She went above and beyond and helped me meet lifelong friends.
Best place for backpackers looking to spend a couple of days in Pakse before tackling the Thakek loop. A memorable stay with some of the best hosts that I have met on my travels. A cosy, relaxed and clean property run by a small team who will get you anything you want, tickets, vapes, tuk tuks. Would recommend paying the extra money vs the local hostels and bedding down here before heading to Thakek. 10/10
Surely the best hostel in Pakse. The owner was fantastic - she has total knowledge of local activities (especially the motorbike loop) and can basically organise the entire trip for you without charging extra. The hostel itself is also fantastic. Clean dorms, comfy beds, great showers, kitchen serving food, and free ice cream! We also booked our onward transport through the hostel, with pick up right from our door.
Best Hostel ever, so super nice, great beds and showers. Yummy and cheap food at the restaurant. The owner, Luang is a super woman, she is so friendly, adorable and lively and so helpful for everything. She is amazing
