Set in Lerwick, 600 metres from Bain's Beach, Islesburgh House Hostel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Clean & very well maintained. Self-catering kitchen had everything you need to prepare a meal. Staff were friendly. Kettle, fridge & TV in the room was a bonus. Lift was useful.

Situated in Helmsdale and with Dunrobin Castle reachable within 26 km, Helmsdale Lodge Hostel - all rooms en-suite features express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi... The manager Maria and the volunteer are super hostpitable and patient to my bad English. I was so lucky to own the whole 4- bed room as I was the only guest booking that room. The location is just aside the main road A 9 which is quite convenient to start off for a cyclist. I was told the hostel used to be a school, so you may find the dining room, living room and bed rooms are quite spacious and roofs are high.

The facilities are great: laundry facilities on site were much appreciated, and the communal areas were spacious, attractive and well equipped.

Adore this little hostel. Ruth is a great host, and the croft house is lovely - warm, and loads of charm with modern facilities. And the location, wow! One of the most beautiful places in Scotland. There's a lot of geological history, and quite a few walks / things to see around Coigach, so it's worth spending more than one night here.

Excellent facilities, comfortable and well kept. One of the cleanest places I've ever stayed and it has all the facilities you need. Whithorn is a nice little village in a beautiful area.

Situated in Crieff, 39 km from Scone Palace, Comrie Croft features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and barbecue facilities. Such a special place with beautiful landscapes and friendly staff. Everything was very clean and comfortable. I can can absolutely recommend it and will hopefully come back soon!
