Situated in Helmsdale and with Dunrobin Castle reachable within 26 km, Helmsdale Lodge Hostel - all rooms en-suite features express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi... The manager Maria and the volunteer are super hostpitable and patient to my bad English. I was so lucky to own the whole 4- bed room as I was the only guest booking that room. The location is just aside the main road A 9 which is quite convenient to start off for a cyclist. I was told the hostel used to be a school, so you may find the dining room, living room and bed rooms are quite spacious and roofs are high.

The hosts Dominique and Daniel are very warm, welcoming and friendly, that are happy to provide you with any tips you need. We had a great time enjoying the Highland games and the stunning nature that surrounds Ballater!

La ubicació és espectacular especialment pels qui vivim a ciutat. És un lloc inhòspid, enmig de la natura, davant de la platja. La cuina és compartida i molt ben equipada i permet interactuar amb altra gent. Els pods estan molt ben equipats i tot és molt còmode.

Hostel was clean, host was so helpful and friendly. I'm so glad that I booked here. Hostel is right infront of the sea so you can listen to the sound of wave at night. Bus stop is about 2 minutes far so easy to go to other side of the island. Also you can find out some useful items that other guests left at the corner of kitchen too. I'll be sure to visit here again. Already missing there!

New Town Hall Bunkhouse is offering accommodation in Whithorn. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Guests can enjoy mountain views. The location was amazing …so many walks to do in that area. I got a 7 day bus pass and would take the bus to a spot then walk back along some of the paths and walking ways. The kitchen is absolutely perfect with everything you could need. The hostel is only 3 months old and purpose built as a bunkhouse/hostel.
