The owners were great people and always there. They were ready to help you with anything you needed and the communication was excellent. The facilities were the same quality. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The dorm was very clean, as was the entire place, the beds were made every day and the showers cleaned the same. Each bed had a curtain which provided a lot of privacy. Overal a great place to stay and the location was excellent as well.

Ester`s Place in Escazù. provides accommodation with, a garden and a terrace. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Ester's Place is very nice. Large spacious room and very clean. The staff was very helpful. Especially Francisco. He did a lot for us. He also helped us contact the rental car insurance. We had problems with the car.

The staff were so so cheerful and welcoming, I felt straight like being at home. The shared shower & toilet was spacious, and felt comfortable using. The kitchen, living room and several shared public spaces were really comfortable.

Boasting a shared lounge, Stray Cat Hostel offers accommodation in San José, 48 km from Poas National Park and 2.4 km from La Sabana Metropolitan Park. stray cat hostel was absolutely perfect! we came from Santa Teresa staying one night to thereafter travel to puerto viejo. the hostels location is close both to terminal 7-10 and to MEPE! the hostel was clean, nice kitchen and the staff superfriendly! I must give a big shoutout to Cesar, who introduced us so well, but most of all send me my T-shirt that I forgot, by bus down to puerto viejo. That is a service you cannot expect from someone working in the reception at a hostel, but there was no hesitation at all, he went to the terminal, sent me my shirt and it arrived the day after. I’m super thankful for that! We just stayed one night, but if I ever go back to San Jose I will definitely stay at Stray cat!

I had a wonderful stay at this hostel. The place was clean, comfortable, and quiet, which made it perfect for the work I needed to get done and for resting after a long flight (they even let me check in early upon arrival, which was greatly appreciated). The wifi was good and stable, which was a huge plus. I had to catch an early bus the next morning, way before breakfast time, and the lady was kind to leave me some basic breakfast items (cereal, milk, banana, and bread) in the kitchen the night before. Although I didn’t leave the hostel, I saw on the map that it was very well located with shops and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend this place!

In the Wind Hostel and Guesthouse is set in the heart of lively, upscale San Pedro and only 400 meters from the University of Costa Rica and the student nightlife of Calle de la Amargura. Very helpful and, above all: honest. We forgot our watch and they call to inform us! We are very glad to stay there!

Set within 38 km of Cerro de la Muerte and 22 km of Nauyaca Waterfalls, Vistas del Sol-Casa Victoria features rooms in San Isidro. This place was extremely clean. I would definitely return . The Host was lovely. The Little kitchen was perfect as I brought my own food. Nice fridge in room.
