The owners were great people and always there. They were ready to help you with anything you needed and the communication was excellent. The facilities were the same quality. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The dorm was very clean, as was the entire place, the beds were made every day and the showers cleaned the same. Each bed had a curtain which provided a lot of privacy. Overal a great place to stay and the location was excellent as well.

Ester`s Place in Escazù. provides accommodation with, a garden and a terrace. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Ester's Place is very nice. Large spacious room and very clean. The staff was very helpful. Especially Francisco. He did a lot for us. He also helped us contact the rental car insurance. We had problems with the car.

Hostel Casa Ridgway offers accommodation in San José. Free parking is available on site. The rooms are equipped with a shared bathroom equipped with a shower. The staff were so so cheerful and welcoming, I felt straight like being at home. The shared shower & toilet was spacious, and felt comfortable using. The kitchen, living room and several shared public spaces were really comfortable.

Gaudys Hotel is located 8 minutes’ walk from La Sabana Metropolitan Park and 2 km from San José City Centre. Free WiFi access is available in public areas. Great place. Very spacious, very well equipped kitchen, tasty breakfast (eggs, rice and beans. Fried banana and fruit, tea and coffee) lovely staff, easy to get to from The airport by bus (google didn’t show me that option but very easy, cca 40’ and 450 or so colones) I loved it and would stay again.

A great hostel to spend a night or two in San José. Close to most bus terminals, woth a nice social and big common area, several dorms and bathrooms. Breakfast is simple but good, there is free coffee in the morning. The staff is wonderful and helps wherever they can. And their cats are absolutely adorable.

Nativus is probably the most comfortable hostel I have ever stayed. It has great facilities like an outdoor terrace, a yoga room, a large kitchen, and a lounge area. Located in a quite residential area, yet very close to the commercial center. It can be a great place for long stays for digital nomads as well. Can`t forget to mention that Anna was a great host, She was very kind and helpful.

In the Wind Hostel and Guesthouse is set in the heart of lively, upscale San Pedro and only 400 meters from the University of Costa Rica and the student nightlife of Calle de la Amargura. Very helpful and, above all: honest. We forgot our watch and they call to inform us! We are very glad to stay there!
