Small hostel with the family living on premise. They were very kind and accommodating. Everything was kept very clean. Excellent wifi. A good portion of San Jose is a little dangerous these days but this neighhborhood felt quite safe. It has quite a few restaurants (and a good gym) within walking distance but lacks a nearby laundry service and not offered by the hostel. Something to ponder if you plan on staying longer. Bed was comfortable.

Casa Pandora Hostel Women Only terletak di San José, 7.5km dari Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica dan 10km dari Parque Diversiones. The location is perfect, close to Barrio Escalante and very close to the city center by walking as well. There is a supermarket where you can find everything you need at 5 minutes walking distance and very nice restaurants and coffee shops around (I recommend Mandrágora Gastro Pub with Harry Potter vibes and Franco for a nice coffee). You have everything in this hostel, a lot of showers, toilets, full equipped kitchen, beds are perfects. The team who is in charge of this hostel is very helpful and friendly ! Thanks to them ! It's automatic check in, so nobody will be here to host you so make sure to have read before the message from the hostel on booking. You will have to fill some basics info in order to have your key to enter the building (1 minute action so it's manageable easily)

Marta & Frederico are super nice hosts, always there to answer any questions. Nice and relaxed vibe to the hostal, plus great location! Lots of space in the dorms for luggage and multiple showers. Would highly recommend :)

I spent a week at this hostel and really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very personable and helpful. Per other's comments about the house being older, it is true but everything worked well and the wifi was excellent. Adored the coffee! The hostel was cleaned daily and throughout the day. Excellent resources available on buses, attractions, tours etc. Neighborhood was safe and near the university so a good variety of restaurants nearby.
