Ester`s Place in Escazù. provides accommodation with, a garden and a terrace. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Ester's place should be called Ester's Palace! It is a gorgeous home with loads of space, beautifully arranged. The host family is lovely and they looked after us superbly. The location is very good and easy to find. The nearby Avenida is gorgeous with some nice places to eat. 😃

Casa Pandora Hostel Women Only is situated in San José, within 7.5 km of Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica and 10 km of Parque Diversiones. This accommodation has everything you need. Every detail is thought out and the space is comfortable and spacious. From all the hostels I have been this has to be the best one. I felt at home immediately and the host will do everything to make you feel comfortable and are available anytime. At first, I was hesitant as I am a female solo traveler and the place did not have many reviews, but this is due to the fact it’s a new hostel, and now I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting San Jose. The location is very central, eating spots at walkable distance, supermarket, even a cute book store. Felt very safe here!

Gaudys Hotel is located 8 minutes’ walk from La Sabana Metropolitan Park and 2 km from San José City Centre. Free WiFi access is available in public areas. I had a very good stay at Gaudys, first of all I enjoyed the big room with large bathroom, ful of light inside the room, strong wifi. The neighborhood its very save, few blocks 2 big supermarkets and the Park Sabana. If you want to go yo city center its 20 min walking distance. I didnt mentioned about the delicious breakfast offered în The room price.

Boasting a shared lounge, Stray Cat Hostel offers accommodation in San José, 48 km from Poas National Park and 2.4 km from La Sabana Metropolitan Park. Everything. Such a great hostel. Cleanliness and security at the highest level, nice and helpful hosts, kitchen with utilities,  fridge, clean bathrooms with big mirror, soap and toilet paper, good WiFi signal, lockers, no mosquitoes in the room, pleasant soft music during the day and excellent location. Definitely a great hostel.

A very beautiful creative clean hostel with lots of communal areas. The kitchen is well stocked and the staff ( esp the owner) super helpful . She helped me sort out my trip. The beds have privacy curtains and lights and charging stations . Lockers in the room also. I will certainly stay there again when I come back to San Jose.
