We had a very comfortable stay here. we just Bly stopped for one night, but the hospitality was amazing. Really kind family and we were received with a refreshing juice. The room was clean and very comfortable. The family who run this company place were so kind, friendly and very helpful. They lent us bikes to go and see the bats at the lake. We got soaked in the rain, the next morning we went on safari and when we came back our clothes were clean and dry. Thank you for a short but wonderful stay.

The staff is really nice and always available for any needs. They organised for us the safari with breakfast and water for a really competitive price. They also drove us from the bus to their house and from the house to the bus which we appreciated a lot. They really want for you to make the most of your visit (welcoming and good-bye refreshments, cold towel to freshen up when you arrive, good tips on where to eat and what to see). The room is confortable enough for us and quite spacious and the shower had good pressure hot water.

21 km from Situlpawwa, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated property set in Kataragama and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Absolutely stunning property. Lovely staff. Very helpful with organizing safari and rides onward. Highly recommend.

Offering a garden and garden view, Lake Front Yala Safari is located in Kataragama, 18 km from Tissa Wewa and 18 km from Situlpawwa. Amazing guest house in Kataragama. We were welcomed like we were part of the family which really offered a lovely guest house experience. Dinusha, Prasanna and their daughter Nithya are the loveliest host ! The room was more than comfortable with a very good AC, a very big bed and a great bathroom. It was maybe one of the most comfortable rooms we had during our 3 weeks stay in Sri Lanka. The guest rooms have a little terrace where you will be able to enjoy your meals. Dinusha offers cooking classes and serves the BEST rice and curry. Cherry on the cake is that Prasanna is a Yala safari guide and has a jeep to take you there. He takes the time to look for animals and show you the gorgeous nature of Yala, including a take away breakfast cooked by Dinusha. Their daughter Nithya is a brilliant young lady and eager to have the guests spending high quality time in Kataragama. She has a very good level of English and takes the guests to a temple visit giving clear explanations on the temple’s history. She also took some time to give us good advices on our next stops, and really built a beautiful relationship with us. We left with a heavy heart as this very quickly felt like our own home - but we were extremely happy to have had the opportunity to live a little part of our trip with the kindest local family and look forward to seeing them again !

Located just 2.5 km from Tissa Wewa, Blue Birds Tissa & Yala safari provides accommodation in Tissamaharama with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as a 24-hour front desk. Priyanka was a wonderful host. After arriving from a hot afternoon safari I was greeted with a cold towel and a fresh coconut. The room is large, clean and has a/c. The dinner and breakfast prepared by his wife was delicious. It was great value. Overall a fantastic one night stay. I highly recommended this guest house.

Well located with easy access, cozy, peaceful, incredibly kind, family owned spot. It really is worth it coming here after busy days in the city, you will feel welcomed, taken care of, with an incredible value for money. The views are exactly like the picture, if not better. Don’t hesitate to book :)

Super unique property with wetlands surrounding it and owner’s special “pets”. Hosts were lovely and arranged amazing safari for me. They are very kind and helpful!! Highly recommend.

Featuring garden views, V Cabanas & Yala Safari Place features accommodation with patio, around 2.6 km from Tissa Wewa. Stayed a couple of days and absolutely loved it, can't recommend highly enough. Big clean rooms, so peaceful and relaxing. Adhi and family were the perfect hosts, our 1 year old daughter especially loved them. Also arranged everything for the Safari. Easy walk into town. If they have space, stay here

Offering a restaurant and free bikes, MOON LIGHT Guest House is located just 1.1 km from the Tissamaharama Bus Station and 3.2 km from the beautiful Tissa Lake. The moment we stepped into the property, we asked Sanjeewa if we could stay for extra day. He is the most hospitable, kind, and caring host. The property is pristinely clean with large rooms with very comfortable beds and good hot shower. Sanjeewa went above and beyond to delight us in indeed very special Sri Lankan meals. He also booked a driver/guide for Yala NP, Bodica (Bodi) Ravindra who was excellent driver, guide (yes, we saw a leopard) and his vehicle was very well maintained, clean with good tires. Very memorable experience!
