The room was very clean, and the host's hospitality was incredible—super friendly and attentive. She arranged a tour for us for 18,000 LKR, offered us tea in the morning before we left, and kindly assisted and guided us to our next destination. Without a doubt, highly recommended! The bathroom was also clean, and the room was spotless.

Located within less than 1 km of Tissa Wewa and 25 km of Bundala Bird Sanctuary in Tissamaharama, Tissa Rainbow Guest & Yala provides accommodation with seating area. The air conditioning worked well plus a strong ceiling fan. The room was clean as well and the host provided an adapter in the room. He also welcomed us with two fresh coconut waters and on the morning of our safari at 5am he was kind enough to make us coffee. On our last day he gave us fresh watermelon slices before checking out. We were also picked up and dropped off from the bus station by the host. Very helpful and kind. Would recommend

21 km from Situlpawwa, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated property set in Kataragama and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Ubicació al mig de la naturalesa i un lloc molt agradable per desconnectar i passejar al voltant del llac i dels camps. El responsable de l’hotel ens va fer un tour per l’hort i les plantacions de canyella i ens va mostrar el procés de fabricació. El sopar era molt bo, totalment recomanable (tampoc hi ha restaurants a prop).

Offering a garden and garden view, Lake Front Yala Safari is located in Kataragama, 18 km from Tissa Wewa and 18 km from Situlpawwa. Amazing place to stay and also amazing safari! We did the full day safari and it was a great experience! We saw so many amazing animals. We cannot recommend this place enough. The family is so kind and the service is excellent. The room is also very clean and comfortable with high quality Aircon.

Located just 2.5 km from Tissa Wewa, Blue Birds Tissa & Yala safari provides accommodation in Tissamaharama with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as a 24-hour front desk. The best stay in Sri Lanka so far. Priya was so helpful! He sent us the bus schedule from Ella to Tissa, he drove us around the lake to see crocodiles and birds, and bats at a late time, he also arranged the safari in Yala for us for a great price, and prepared an early breakfast before leaving at 4:30. He drove us with his tuktuk when we needed to catch the bus to Tangalle and checked that we had successfully arrived. The room was also cozy and the location of the hotel is not far from the main road.

Boasting lake views, Lake Face Cabana offers accommodation with terrace, around 4.5 km from Tissa Wewa. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. We had an incredible time at the lake face cabana. One of our highlights in Sri Lanka. We stayed at a cabin for 2 nights so we can do an early morning Safari at Yala National Park. The location is like a hidden Oasis. It’s in the middle of nature, overlooking a beautiful lake full of charm and wild (harmless) animals. What’s most amazing are the owners family of this hotel. Hard working parents with two young daughters who from the moment we stepped in made us feel like we are visiting family. Very friendly, with very impressive story of resilience and hard work to get to where they are today. The food was so delicious, cooked with love by the owner. We had dream breakfasts, tea and fruit platters, all sorts of juices and of course delicious rice and curry (the best we had in Sri Lanka) For the Safari we booked through the company which was recommended through this hotel, and we were picked up at 4:30 for a 30-40 minutes drive to the national park. The owner also offered for us a free tour in the nearby area to see the fruit bats which are very impressive to watch. You can also watch all sorts of birds and wild life while sitting in the balcony of the Cabana which was magical. We didn’t want to leave in the last day, and saying goodbye to the family was the hardest as it felt we were saying goodbye to family. Certainly the best part of our Sri Lanka trip. And we will definitely go back again.

Super unique property with wetlands surrounding it and owner’s special “pets”. Hosts were lovely and arranged amazing safari for me. They are very kind and helpful!! Highly recommend.

L'habitació era molt àmplia, llit molt còmode, bany amb totes les prestacions i unes vistes precioses davant dels arrossars. L'atenció dels amos i la Nilusha és excelent, pendents de tot en tot moment, molt propers i amables.

Set just 600 metres from Tissa Wewa, Viveka Inn Guest and Yala Safari provides accommodation in Tissamaharama with access to a garden, a bar, as well as a 24-hour front desk. The family that run Viveka are just wonderful. The actual property is superb, hidden behind a back road and opening up to a gorgeous rice paddy filled with exotic birds. The gardens that you can chill, sit and eat in are also so beautiful. We saw turtles in their river, it was really cool. The Safari they booked for us was AMAZING. Our guide was the first one at any leopard siting and just absolutely blew us away. We cannot recommend booking safari through Viveka enough. Our safari guide was called Sule.

Offering a restaurant and free bikes, MOON LIGHT Guest House is located just 1.1 km from the Tissamaharama Bus Station and 3.2 km from the beautiful Tissa Lake. The property is a little out of town, with beautiful views of the rice fields, in a quiet location. The owner offered to pick us up and drop us off from town for free, gave us a tour of the area, and was super helpful in every way. We ate two delicious evening meals at the guest house, and organised the safari through them too. Highly recommended
