Perfect location, very good food (also for vegetarian!) and very nice and helpful family! They helped us planning our trip by organizing drivers even after our stay there. We had a very nice stay at Macaca Resort. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff is very friendly and the food is very good. Our guide was very helpful and easily organised by the resort. We didn’t want to leave!

The host Mamalis made amazing varied food, some of the best we’ve had in Indonesia. Papa Sem has a boat for snorkeling and dolphin tours. The atmosphere is calm, close to the pier and two diving schools. Communication in English is done through Stefen, who runs a nearby homestay. He is very friendly, like Mamalis and Papasem, whom you can talk to in Indonesian and through translation apps.

Set on the beachfront in Bunaken, HEINER HOMESTAY has a private beach area. The homestay features family rooms. It has been a pleasure to stay at Olga and Ope's house. They are wonderful people who have made us feel at home. They are very fun and we spent sometime with them talking and laughing. The room was good and the food she made for us was very good and with variety. They helped us with everything we needed. Ope organised the dolphin tour and it was amazing. We saw lots of dolphins but not only this! After, he drove us to different spots to snorkeling and we saw lots of coral, fishes and turtles. We wanted to rent motorbike, and he was very helpful and in less than 10 min we had them. Olga, is not only an amazing cooker, she also can give you a massage to relax and she is very good. We are extremely happy to have spent there our 5 days in Bunaken.

Located in Bunaken, EL Homestay Bunaken provides accommodation with seating area. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking. This was without a doubt the best homestay we have experienced in two years of traveling through Asia. Stefen has been an incredible help with everything we needed and organized for us one of the best tours of our lives: the dolphins, Nain Island sandbank, and Siladen snorkeling tour. It's been two weeks since we left his homestay, and we still think daily of our time there. We would love to go back as soon as possible. The food was delicious and very healthy.

Situated in Likupang in the North Sulawesi region, Pondok Wisata Noah has a terrace and mountain views. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation offers a balcony. You are really lucky if you can stay at Pondok Noah. Rein and Martha are such lovely people with such a big hearth for their guests who become friends. Likupang area is great. The jungle style bamboo is very cute (cold shower totally fine), yammi local food. This place you should not miss out! Best wishes
