Sally, the host, was so welcoming and helpful- helping me to navigate when my driver couldn't find the place, offering lots of suggestions and tips, and even helping me when I left my boots behind. It's a homestay style, so breakfast was family style with other guests. It was delicious and filling.

Really quiet district not far from Xihu. The Subway station is not that far, but the distance is not walkable. We mostly used didi (Chinese taxi) to get to the temples or parks. It wasn’t more than 20 yuan. Room is clean, facilities are new, toothbrushes are stylish. The street nearby is full of the restaurants. We found a really nice tiny family restaurant (where mostly locals eat). The food was great.

No problem staying longer in the room, but at some point, I just wanted to wait in the lobby, and was pampered with a delicious tea for free. I want to say to the staff... You all are amazing people! Het July Bamboo Hostel ligt in het schilderachtige Moganshan-gebied en biedt gratis WiFi. The hotel is Nicely furnished. Our hostess Jk was lovely and when out of her way to help us. Jk cooked us some fabulous meals asked us what we would like. She was friendly and spoke good English. We visited at a quiet time of year so she kindly drove us to a few tourists destinations and was able to ask questions on our behalf in the shops etc.

Location was very good as the place is near food places and the metro. The view from the 18th floor was nice. I had the whole place to myself, a studio, which is just what I like. I could use the washing machine, the kitchen etc. Most of all, the hostess was very kind, helpful, and responsive. I enjoyed staying there very much.
