Tranquility No 42 Port Haverigg Marina, a property with a garden and a bar, is located in Millom, 42 km from Lake Windermere, 43 km from Wasdale, as well as 49 km from Scafell Pike. The location was excellent, we had a lovely view of the ocean and it was very accessible by car. The holiday home is warm, cosy and well-equipped to meet needs. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, would definitely return again if I'm in the area.

And soon as you walk through the door the cottage is elegant decorated and very cosy. With the hot tub on a private balcony I’ll definitely be booking to stay again left feeling completely relaxed

Flosh Cottage Lake District, a property with a garden, is located in Cleator, 23 km from Muncaster Castle, 29 km from Scafell Pike, as well as 29 km from Buttermere. Very cozy clean and well equipped. Lovely furniture. Everything we needed was provided. Easy communication and check in.

Situated in Kendal and only 17 km from World of Beatrix Potter, Cosy country cottage with log fireplace and views features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Very Cosy feel, had all one could need. Must also be beautiful in winter. Self check in easy.

The Old Chair Workshop is located in Sedbergh, 44 km from Trough of Bowland, 18 km from Kendal Castle, as well as 29 km from Brough Castle. I can't rate the old chair workshop highly enough - absolutely beautiful find after a long day on the dales way. Excellent facilities, lovely kitchen with everything you could want, well decorated. It was a very cold night (about minus 8) but I was warm and cosy. Thankyou!

Set 18 km from Kendal Castle, 31 km from Brough Castle and 40 km from Aysgarth Falls, Chapel Beck, Millthrop provides accommodation situated in Sedbergh. A lovely cottage (actually a converted church) with an old exterior but modern and very spacious on the inside. We did not miss a thing for a very comfortable stay.

Situated 33 km from Thirlwall Castle, 38 km from Brougham Castle and 44 km from Whinfell Forest, Carlisle Central, Cute Studio Appt, The Cupboard provides accommodation set in Carlisle. The place was clean, in an excellent location for looking around the town, shopping and the train station. We came by train and used this place as a base for travelling to the Lakes District, taking the train around the Cumbrian Coast as well as going to look around Lancaster. The Cupboard provided a wonderful base to complete these activities, as well as looking around Carlisle itself. A bonus was the fact that, not only did the host leave chocolates and wine when we arrived, there was also milk in the fridge for a cup of tea or coffee and washing powder for use in the washing machine. Not many places are that considerate of their guest's needs.

Everything was beautiful and clean. We loved the location close to town, honesty box of delicious cakes and eggs across the road
