A good location for a hassle-free getaway in Urzelina, Casa d'Avó Guesthouse and Apartment is a farm stay surrounded by views of the mountain. Great location only 6 minutes from the airport. Clean and spacious room with a view of Pico from my window. They let me check in early (at 9:30am when my flight got in!) and my room was already ready, which was wonderful. Also helped with getting a taxi to take me to the beginning of my hike. Wish I could have stayed an extra day to enjoy it all, but it was beautiful!

Caldeira Guesthouse features rooms in Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony and free WiFi. Amazing place in a traditional settlement (fajã) very close to the ocean, the lakes and the beautiful mountains. I had wonderful time staying at that guesthouse and feeling at home. It was very peaceful, with very tasty breakfast and dinner, good bathroom with hot shower and a comfortable bed. The hosts David and Kristina and the volunteers were very kind and friendly, there's such a good atmosphere there. This is the way a guesthouse should be run.

Rui's home is located at the end of the village in the most peaceful area with a stunning view. Yet it's close to everything. We had an amazing time here. Rui is the most amazing host I've ever meet. He is helpful, thoughtful and always available to help with anything that can come up. Rui helped us to plan our stay on the island, gave us ideas what to visit and welcomed us like we were family. Rui's place is not just another nice accomodation on the island, it's a home away from home. And I would recommend anyone who wants to have a real Sao Jorge experience to stay with Rui. We will definitely return.

Amazing view of the ocean and cliffs. Tables scattered throughout the property for a secluded breakfast surrounded by cool plants a flowers. Staff was soooo awesome. They heard we were leaving early and would miss breakfast and they packed us lunch baggies to eat in the road. Amazing place I hope to come back

Perched on the mountains of São Jorge Island, Cantinho offers a furnished terrace with an infinity pool and a hot tub. It offers luxurious, air-conditioned apartments with a private patio. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious and clean. The large sliding glass doors allowed for exceptional views looking over Velas and the surrounding mountains from every room. Breakfast was the typical buffet style. All in all This a great place to stay in São Jorge.

The room was a short walk to anything in town. There’s also cafe with one of the better menu offerings in town right next to the hotel. My favourite amenity was the room’s large balcony with a great view of Pico. The staff is friendly and helpful. I asked lots of questions.
