J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse is situated in Hongu, a 10-minute drive away or a 70-minute walk on the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route from Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine. Exceptional Guesthouse. I must thank the Manager (did not get his name) for refunding me for a night's stay as there was a change in plans. He was very, very kind. I loved the in-house onsen.

Ike was responsive to our questions before we arrived and helped us plan our next day's Kumano hiking itinerary based on the weather forecast. The dinner at Ike's minshuku was super tasty, we had a really good time eating and watching Ike make okonomiyaki (really good with lots of veggies which we missed in Japan). Definitely recommend getting the dinner/breakfast/lunch package, made our day after a long day's hike!

I felt so relaxed to arrive after a long travel day to a place so comfortable. Loved the pajamas too. The owner is also very friendly and accommodating - we went to his restaurant for dinner and the food was amazing and everyone was sooo welcoming

Super friendly host and provided us very useful advise on restaurant etc. free parking any way we enjoyed the entire stay wish to stay longer especially kids love the play room.

Everything! The best place we stayed during our trip in Japan. The owner was so nice, he picked us up and drove us to the station again when we had to leave. The inn is great. Very comfortable, clean, spacious. Very quiet and nice area. The owners thought of everything. The free bikes were also nice.

Great place to stay in Koyasan. The place is new and very clean. Design is a mix of traditional Japanese tatami with a modern bed. The hosts make sure you understand how everything works. Short walk to main temples. Great value for money!
