J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse is situated in Hongu, a 10-minute drive away or a 70-minute walk on the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route from Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine. Super nice place, extremely clean and beautifully done. The private onsens are amazing and are a huge plus. Great location to explore Yunomine Onsen and to trek the Kumano Kodo. Free rice in the evening and rice porridge in the morning (cooked with onsen water I think) as well as a great huge kitchen to cook in. We ended up having dinner in a local restaurant because we were too lazy to cook. There is a convenience store close by to buy the eggs and sweet potatoes you can boil in the Onsen water. The staff was extremely nice. Good atmosphere among other guests as well.

Our stay at Temple Hotel was unforgettable, blending smooth check-in with authentic Japanese hospitality. The kind monk welcomed us with a tour of his family’s temple grounds, shared local dining tips (his izakaya recommendation was excellent), and generously offered complimentary sake, shochu, and beer, complete with a gas stove for warming drinks. He even guided us in setting up our futon beds. The temple opened at 6am, and we were invited to join his 7am prayer service and participate in rituals like sutra copying. Before we left, he gifted us a meaningful Wagen Aigo souvenir and sent us off with blessings. This stay was a genuine experience of Japanese culture—highly recommended.

Nastanitev 民宿 和合 Minshuku WAGO je v mestu Tanabe, 2 min hoje od znamenitosti Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum of Art in 29 km od znamenitosti koncertna dvorana Kamitonda, ter nudi brezplačno izposojo... Ike is such a nice host, helpful and knowing everything about the Kumano Kodo, and can answer all questions related with it. The breakfast and the bendo box is delicious. The dinner is greater with home brewed Plum wine, oishii. The room is cozy and although shared shower, it is big and clean, better shower than some hotels. Highly recommended

Very clean and fairly new/well maintained accomodation. I have been to several shared bath accomodations and some have the weirdest setup that don't make sense. This place just does it. Bed is comfy and pillow has just the right height. There's proper hangers in the shower room, bins at the right spots, everything just makes sense so you'll be feeling like staying in a home instead of a hostel. Friendly and very helpful staffs to ease you through your stay and travel around the area.

Nastanitev 自由自屋 je v mestu Nachikatsuura, 17 min hoje od znamenitosti Plaža Nachi Beach, in nudi sobe s klimatsko napravo. Incredible location. Friendly hosts. Ergonomic, clean and modern facilities. The kitchen and bathroom is only shared with one other room and the shared space is comfortable. You're practically on the train station and within walking distance of many many great tuna restaurants. I highly recommend!!

The house is big and confortable, there is a wonderful jacuzzi and everything was perfect… but the real highlight is meeting and talking with the cool owner!!

I love the whole set. We are traveling with my family and friends family. It is such a good fit. Super friendly host and provided us very useful advise on restaurant etc. free parking any way we enjoyed the entire stay wish to stay longer especially kids love the play room.

Place was very cosy and had everything you need! There was free welcome snack and water. Walking distance to all the good food and even a huge pharmacy.
