J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse is situated in Hongu, a 10-minute drive away or a 70-minute walk on the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route from Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine. Very good location, great staff (answered my 100 messages not only about accomodation but Kumano Kodo in general), good atmosphere, old japanese onsen just around the corner, but no need to use it as this place has their own private onsens! Really recommend ❤️

Very convenient stop along the Kumano-Kodo route. We brought our own food for dinner and the host set up a nice table outside for us. Everything was very clean and the host is really nice.

Situated just 500 metres from Shingu Castle Ruins Park, AJITO Hostel & CafeBar provides accommodation in Shingu with access to free bikes, a bar, as well as full-day security. what a great little place. If you have a small group, the 4 ppl room on the 3rd floor is perfect. The place has lots of great info in multiple languages and the affiliated izakaya was the perfect place to go for dinner.

This is a charming and relaxed guest house not far from the beach. Beautifully renovated and looked after. Our host Mizu spoke perfect English and helped with everything we needed: bicycles, dinner reservations and even booking a massage! Nice relaxed atmosphere in a family setting.

We were overwhelmed by the kindness Koji-san showed us! The warehouse is a beautiful little apartment and we would have loved to stay even longer.

Giovanni and Yutaka, the hosts and owners were very thoughtful and accommodating. We rode on his truck going to their farm where their goats are and it was super fun! The meals prepared by Giovanni, featuring his award-winning goat cheese, are very artfully prepared and served, not to mention very delicious!

There is coffee and tea, a washing machine and dryer you can use for a small fee. We extended our stay and got a free upgrade!
