After a good 5 hours of walking we arrived at the Ancient Briton we were greeted by friendly helpful staff and shown to our room. Recently refurbished pub the room was very spacious and very clean and the beds very comfortable. We later went on to have a meal the food was very good all locally sourced meat etc and the deserts hand made. In the morning breakfast was prepared by emma the landlady and again was beyond expectation. Overall I was very impressed and would highly recommend the Ancient Briton

Upon my late arrival, I was touched to find a sandwich and milk waiting in my room - a simple gesture that meant everything at that moment. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room quiet and perfectly clean. Breakfast was also excellent, setting me up perfectly for another day of cycling. What truly stood out, though, was the genuine warmth of the staff. Their kindness made me feel truly welcome despite my disheveled state. The village and surrounding area are peaceful and picturesque. While my stay was brief, I'm already planning a return visit to properly explore the area.

A lot of thought had gone into providing a very high standard of extras, such as fresh milk and having hot chocolate available if desired. All this, combined with the friendliness and unobtrusive helpfulness of the host and her delicious breakfasts made for an unforgettable stay in Brecon.
