Just 5 miles from the city centre of Oxford, The Bear and Ragged Staff offers fantastic homemade food, free parking, and free Wi-Fi. You can relax in its cosy olde worlde bar, beside a roaring log fire. Historic and wonderfully charming, yet modern, classy and clean. The staff here were particularly helpful in responding to and helping us with some dietary requirements, and the food was delicious. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

The property features garden views and is 31 km from Notley Abbey and 45 km from Newbury Racecourse. The accommodation provides full-day security and luggage storage space for guests. The house was very warm and comfortable. The surroundings are very quiet so we had the best sleep. The hosts are very friendly, helpful and accommodating.

 Staying at the Royal, Oak was a highlight of our weeklong trip in England. The end exudes, warmth and charm. Our room was extremely comfortable and there are all sorts of special touches around the property. The staff are amazing and the food at the restaurant  delicious English fare.

The Garden Room was a neat, comfortable and cosy little cottage in a quiet area of a country estate. It had all facilities we needed, good shower & bathroom, the bedroom was a lovely room although a little cramped for two people travelling with 2 large suitcases and backpacks. There was little room on each side of the bed to move around comfortably, however it would suit a single traveller with minimal luggage. The owners were helpful with information when required otherwise they left us to enjoy the lovely and quiet surrounds.
Chipping Norton
Set in Church Enstone, The Crown Inn, Church Enstone is 8 km from Chipping Norton and 13 km from Blenheim Palace. Providing a restaurant and a bar, the property also has a garden. Free WiFi and luggage storage space are offered. Charming old world quiet country inn. Wonderful old pub, great breakfast and dinner. Friendly food servers and great overall atmosphere.
Henley on Thames
The apartment is mainly suitable for a couple possibly plus two kids but four adults can stay for a short period as the second bed is a sofa bed and not comfortable for two adults. The apartment features a memory foam super king size bed, a double sofa bed, a dining and coffee table, an iron, an en-suite bathroom, a bathtub & shower, a bidet shower and linen and towels. It features a memory foam super king size bed. The studio also features a hair-dryer and a SMART TV with a Blu-Ray player. Sky Satellite TV is also provided with Sky HD included. The property was lovely and the hosts were amazing, I will definitely be staying here again in the future.
Henley on Thames
Featuring free bikes and views of inner courtyard, Handywater Cottages is a guest house situated in a historic building in Henley on Thames, 24 km from Cliveden House. Breakfast was great, served exactly on time and all fresh and tasty.

The staff was engaging and wonderful! I loved that every meal had a vegan / vegetarian option. It was quiet, but clearly a place where locals gather. I look forward to staying there again!

Banbury
Situated just 5 minutes' walk fro the centre of Banbury, the Banbury Cross B&B offers free Wi-Fi access throughout and free onsite parking. Warwick is a 30-minute drive and Banbury Cross is 400 metres away. Visited for a one night stay with my elderly father as we needed to be in the area. Staff very helpful to us. Late arrival and early start so we were not able to sample the breakfast but the room was clean and comfortable. The bad wasn't as comfortable as my own but ok for a short stay. Overall very pleased and good value for money for the area.

Great location, ideal distance from Silverstone which was the purpose of our visit, great host with clear instructions and communication. Flat was a home from home lovely 2 night stay. Very comfy bed and loved the mirrors 🙂 Will recommend and definitely stay again
A very interesting modern house with light, spacious rooms. A large, private roof terrace giving views over the garden and countryside made the bedroom a particularly pleasant place to relax. Breakfast was outstanding with top quality ingredients cooked to a high standard. Our hostess Shirley was friendly and charming. She created a warm, welcoming atmosphere which made it very easy to feel 'at home'. The house is located in a quiet village with easy access to many local and regional places of interest.
Absolutely lovely little hotel! Very friendly and helpful staff. Charming room (we had a family room) with comfy beds. Hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood, in walking distance to nice restaurants, colleges and city centre. Convenient free parking in the hotel courtyard. English breakfast was good, in an attached glass pavilion. Very lovely garden with tables and umbrellas that can be used for breakfast. We happily return, if our son is accepted to Oxford.
Host very welcoming and friendly. I was able to use an off road parking space in front of the guest house. On a good bus route to city centre, Good selection of toast and cereal for breakfast. Room clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water. I was in a very quiet room at the back of the house.
Lovely house in a quiet neighbourhood with a great host. I spend two weeks with Melody and I really felt at home. With the busses it‘s quite fast to reach the city centre (especially if you‘re used to living in bigger cities) or — if you feel sporty — you can walk a 45 minutes through the fields of port meadow among the oxen’s. I really liked it!
Great location, peaceful and very quiet but also conveniently close to the M40. Johnnie and Paul are great hosts, both evening meals and breakfast outstanding. Rooms clean and comfortable and very good value. Highly recommended and will be staying over again.
Great location - easy to walk to station and places to eat. Great choice of breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereals with very tasty cooked breakfast. Very quiet room, comfortable bed and a lovely hostess. Nice to have tea/coffee & fridge in ensuite room (and microwave but did not use)
Very nice studio in a great location. The studio was clean and very comfortable, during the night it was very quiet even though it is rather close to a busy road. It is within walking distance of the city centre. Overall it had a very high standard for Oxford accommodation and great value for money. Friendly and very helpful host! We would definitely stay here again.
Very nice old traditional pub, which did a lovely evening meal and breakfast. Stayed for one night on a work trip , great location. Next to a train station but was surprisingly quiet at night and in the morning. Small but comfortable double room , very clean. Had a good nights sleep. Nice outdoor areas which would be lovely in the summer. Great host, very friendly and welcoming. Would stay again if in the area.
