Set in Gretna, the recently renovated Kirkcroft Guest House offers accommodation 42 km from Thirlwall Castle and 17 km from Carlisle Railway Station. Christine and Tony made us feel so welcome, they were very friendly. Delicious home cooked breakfast, comfy beds and spacious room with tea coffee biscuits etc.

Situated in Gatehouse of Fleet, Masonic Arms Gatehouse is 49 km from Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club and features various facilities, such as a garden, a restaurant and a bar. Very comfortable bed, large shower. The hotel also provided us with a steamer as they knew we were going to attend the wedding. Very sweet girl at the breakfast (for additional price but massive portions)

Very friendly, super clean, fantastic decor, very high standard, bed was lovely and comfy, fab pillows! The hot tub was great, easy to book your slot/s, if like us it was a great start and end to a day. The hubby found the sauna to be an added bonus!! Fantastic seating areas by the river, very soothing to listen to the water rushing by, there is a lovely little summer house outside too, we would love to visit again in the summer. The biggest healthiest chickens in the front garden, don't forget to take them some grapes! Super breakfasts, and the smoothies were delicious, all in all not a bad thing to say about this fantastic little guest house!!

Corsewall Arms Guest House is situated in Stranraer and offers a terrace. Such great location, really quiet, beautiful room with everything we needed, lovely homemade shortbread biscuits, great breakfast and Jo so nice and welcoming. Perfect place to stay after or before ferry crossing and will stay there any time we travel.

Beautifully renovated manse, excellent facilities in centre of village, magnificent breakfasts, personable owners justifiably proud of what they have achieved.

Situated in Dumfries, within less than 1 km of Dumfries and County Golf Club and 2.3 km of Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club, Hamilton House features accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi as... The bed and breakfast was lovely. The staff was very efficient, polite, and helpful. Will recommend to others.

Set in Lockerbie and only 23 km from Dumfries and County Golf Club, Bishopcleugh Guest House offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Lovely quiet place to stay - a friendly welcome and a truly excellent breakfast. Suits me perfectly for a safe overnight stop. The nearest evening meals are in Lockerbie a mile down the road, but I usually bring a picnic, which the owners don't seem to mind.

Situated in Stranraer, in a historic building, 700 metres from Stranraer Beach, Thornbank House is a guest house with a fitness centre and indoor pool. Everything was in order. The swimming pool and hot tub were a real extra.
