Situated just 16 km from San Juan Church, Alojamiento El Miajon de los Castúos provides accommodation in Valdesalor with access to a garden, a bar, as well as a shared kitchen. It had a great community feel, a hostel/ ground floor apartment, a shop, a cause bar, both open lo g hours. The town itself had a central bar that was also great with a community feel.

This rural guest house is located in the village of Guadalupe, only 25 metres from the main square. It features free WiFi and air-conditioned rooms. Hostal Alba Tarura offers rooms with simple décor. Everything was exceptional! We just wished to stay longer. The room offered so many amenities! We had toothbrushes, parfum, pads, a come, a razor, and many other things, it was really amazing! We arrived very late and the codes worked perfectly, plus the staff was super friendly by helping us on the phone. Visit Guadalupe, it truthfully is worth the trip!

Casa Ruy Lopez is located in the centre of Zafra and next to its main square. It has a restaurant, free WiFi and a terrace. Each room at Casa Ruy Lopez has attractive traditional décor. After a long rainy drive from Lisbon we arrived at this quiet (even during the Carnaval weekend) and perfectly located hotel (within a 5 minute walk you’re in the main plaza). The small hotel does not have parking but we easily parked nearby. We had a warm welcome by the nice girl at reception desk who was very helpful providing us with a map and hints and tips on where to go. Our room was number six, with a balcony overlooking the small street. The room just like all the hotel spaces was extremely clean, spacious and equipped with AC. Throughout Casa Ruy Lopez the attention to detail goes above and beyond the decoration (that we loved): there are complimentary small water bottles at room temperature and in mini fridges in common areas or if you prefer you can make different types of tea (there’s an electrical kettle), or you can have water with lemon. Breakfast was very good, a large variety of products including homemade cakes and jams, and the nice and helpful staff always asks if you’d also like toast or anything else. The location is perfect making it a great base for exploring the area (don’t miss Mina de la Jayona, Virgen del Ara and the roman ruins of Regina Turdulorum if you can). The small entrance of Casa Ruy Lopez is only a clue for what it hides inside: a delightful place to stay. Would certainly return and recommend it!

The room was clean, modern and spacious. The lady who greeted me was very helpful. I recommend this place to stay in Badajoz!

A recently renovated property, Olivae Hostal Boutique is located in Cáceres near San Juan Church, Santa María Church-Procathedral and Plaza Mayor Caceres. Beutifull hostel, very clean and confirtable, suitable for families. Staff was super friendly making the experience even better. Location is great close to a lot of restaurants and beutiful building

Featuring a shared lounge and views of mountain, ANJ Alojamientos is a recently renovated guest house located in Guadalupe, 100 metres from Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Guadalupe. Good communication about parking. Very good location next to the monastery. Clean and big room.

Situated within 16 km of San Juan Church and 17 km of Santa María Church-Procathedral, Hostal León features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Torreorgaz. Great location as we made our way from Madrid to Lisbon. Exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Excellent shower. Friendly staff.

Located in Medellín, 21 km from Parque Natural de Cornalvo y Sierra Bermeja, Mesón Hostal La Cabaña provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. The sparkling clean and comfortable room. Good shower and comfortable bed.

Hotel Rural El Convento features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Valencia de Alcántara. We loved this place for the greenery and the shaded patio areas especially in this high temperature heat! The staff are very attentive and helpful! MariCarmen is very sweet and Jose very knowledgeable. The restaurant is just a delight to have a beautiful comida or cena or just to hand out with tapas. Their breakfast is very fulfilling. They have a pool that ideal to cool down in this dreaded heat. Really enjoyed this place.
