Situated within 14 km of San Juan Church and 14 km of Santa María Church-Procathedral in Malpartida de Cáceres, Hostal La Caballeriza features accommodation with seating area. The Lady in charge was so friendly and helpfull and her beautifull daughter would translate for us. I assumed (foolishly and ignorantly)that everyone would speak english. I really should have learnt some Spanish at least. Malpatida is a lovely little town, charming and very traditional, a complete get away from the normal day to day life. Surrounded by stunning countryside and farms. The white storks are brilliant to watch and are everywhere, the vultures and eagles soar above the village throughout the day. A great place for relaxing, birdwatching and to experience how the spanish live such a happy relaxed lifestyle.

Great location as we made our way from Madrid to Lisbon. Exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Excellent shower. Friendly staff.

Hotel Rural El Convento features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Valencia de Alcántara. We loved this place for the greenery and the shaded patio areas especially in this high temperature heat! The staff are very attentive and helpful! MariCarmen is very sweet and Jose very knowledgeable. The restaurant is just a delight to have a beautiful comida or cena or just to hand out with tapas. Their breakfast is very fulfilling. They have a pool that ideal to cool down in this dreaded heat. Really enjoyed this place.
