Excellent location close to Nara Park and not too far from the Kintetsu station (JR station is also walkable if you don't have too much luggage but it is further). Good clean facilities, comfortable bed. Overall very good value for money.

Lovely little Japanese traditional house with a small private garden. The bathroom was very comfortable, traditional Japanese bath space. Very comfortable futon beds.

This is an unmanned facility so don’t be put off by the staff score. Nara is easily walkable and this hotel being located so near the train station is a huge plus.

I really enjoyed the old-style homey feel of the place. The staff were very kind and welcoming and it was nice to have them greet you so warmly as you departed and returned from your day.
The deer park is a short walk away which was great especially if you want to have some quieter times in the early mornings to deer watch without the busy crowds. The surrounding area is very peaceful if you don’t mind a longer walk to the subways/city center/convenience store - there are buses nearby if you’re not a fan of walking!
The kitchen had all the necessary utensils if you want to make your own meals!
Would definitely stay here again!

Very spacious for a family of 4! Location is super good, proximity to train station, shop, restaurant.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The place was well located, close to Nara park and the train station but tucked away on a quiet street. The beds were huge and comfortable, very clean and it felt like home. I only stayed one night but wish I stayed longer. Yoko is one of the warmest and friendliest hosts I’ve had, she shared stories with me about her experiences owning a guest house, she made everyone feel very welcome, and she shared her tofu with me in the morning. My most wholesome stay in Japan by far.
Yoko the owner is the best! She welcomed me so warmly with tea and a snack and introduced me to all the guest! She gave me a small tour and really made me feel welcome. The guesthouse is really beautiful traditional style with really comfortable beds with spacious rooms. The guesthouse is also in a great location, but at the same time quiet and peaceful, it's a shame I could only stay one night. I look forward to staying here again one day. Thank you Yoko!

Great location, 5 minute walk to the train station
Spotless clean / well equipped kitchen, free tea and coffee etc.
The owner Mr Hilo is a great host, very kind and welcoming.
Great Hostel right at the gate to all the places you want to see in Nara. Also just a really short walk to Kintetsu Nara Station. Rooms are quiet and beds are stable. Clean shower and toilet. Breakfast included and I really like it. One big toast with a topping of choice, delicious salad and a drink.
Great location near temples right in the park. Quiet, friendly, clean place. Not fancy but comfortable as a hostel should be:) Very cheap for such place. Sweet stuff.
Very well located next to the park. Quiet and small garden all around the house. Our host was very attentionnate. Excellent japanese breakfast. Very cheap for sleeping in a very nice neighborhood. Free bikes. We loved cycling around the small old streets of Naramachi, which is as nice as old Kyoto and lest touristic.
We loved the tatami room and the futons were very comfortable. The guest house was in a great location, on a quiet street but within walking distance of all the major sites and shopping areas. The breakfast was delicious and great value.
A very charming guesthouse, ideally located 5min walk from the JR station (Kyobate). From Nara station, it takes around 20min walk to get there.
The host was amazing, so helpful and nice, giving his advice on the places to go out for dinner, public baths, etc.
He helped us to send our luggage to our next step location, and we are so grateful he did.
Thank you so much for this great stay, we strongly recommend this place to stay ! :)
An exceptionally clean and well-kept guesthouse in a quiet street with some shops and restaurants, still within walking distance of the park, city centre and the railway stations.
There is a shared common space with TV, microwave oven, refrigerator and free coffee and tea as well as various information brochures about Nara in several languages. The owner takes care of the house herself and is incredibly nice and helpful.
I enjoyed my stay here a lot!
