We had a great stay with mountain view in this beautiful complex. It offers to their guests relax vacation with sauna and pool facilities. Breakfast is very nice and great restaurant for dinner is just 300m away. Also a market if you need to buy food or water for hiking. Staff was so kind and helpful so I would kindly recommend them as perfect choice ☺️

Located in Camacha, in a historic building, 10 km from Marina do Funchal, Quinta da Moscadinha is a farm stay with an outdoor swimming pool and garden. Excellent service, beautiful property and location, nice and quiet. We also loved the restaurant above the hotel, we ended getting dinner there a couple times. Definitely would recommend.

Boasting a patio with city views, a rooftop pool and a garden, A Casa Estrelícia-Dourada Garcês can be found in São Vicente, close to Sao Vicente Beach and 16 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming... Elda and Leonel's accommodation is truly magnificent. São Vicente and the north coast of the island are spectacular, this is the perfect location to take in all of the area has to offer. Leonel is a local, so is an expert on the area (great recommendations for food, drinks, hiking trails, and swimming spots). I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Elda, but the design features of the property (for which I believe she is responsible for) are excellently unique. It's a comfortable space to spend downtime, with stunning views from the balcony and a pristine pool to lounge by. The property is perfectly located within a two minute walk of São Vicente village, and a further five minutes to the seafront (which hosts more options for bars, cafes, and restaurants). Leonel provided both a transportation service to and from Funchal, as well as a bicycle rental service, both at a very reasonable cost. These additional services helped make my stay extra special and hassle-free respectively. I was also given a generous sample of Leonel's homemade Madeira wine, which was succulent and sweet as well as fresh eggs from the chickens they keep on site. Elda and Leonel's two cats also wander around the property. They are friendly, gentle, and affectionate; good company all in all. I endured both calm sunny days and stormy downpours while in São Vicente. Regardless of the conditions, I always felt that I was in the perfect place to enjoy my holiday.

Quinta das Hortênsias, a property with a garden, is set in Arco de São Jorge, 16 km from Santana's traditional houses, 31 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools, as well as 40 km from Girao Cape. The position was incredible! Waking up and going to sleep with the best view one could ask made the holiday even better! Very attentive owner, always available for any need. Small but functional kitchen. Very comfortable bed. I would definitely stay here again!

Boasting mountain views, Casas de Pedra features accommodation with balcony, around 10 km from Marina do Funchal. With garden views, this accommodation provides a patio. It’s a paradise! I would say that it’s one of the best experiences during our traveling. It’s beautiful, calm, clean and so cozy. We stoked the fireplace everyday and enjoyed our vacation. Also, I want to highlight the high level of service! They proposed a check in any time because house was already free, they cleaned room everyday (!) when we were outside. Breakfast is really good!

Set in Ribeira Brava, Quinta Terezinha offers accommodation with free WiFi, mountain views, and access to a hot tub. Guests can benefit from a balcony and an outdoor fireplace. The place is amazing, nice view, nice garden with the possibility of picking some fruits. The kitchen is fully furnished, and we were warmly welcomed by the host. The place was perfect for my family, my son played a lot with the cats and the goats, we fed the chickens, we had a lot of fun. It is also in a strategical position, close to Funchal, Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol etc, but of course a car is needed.
