Situated in the suburb of Melville in Johannesburg, Lucky Bean Guesthouse features a lush garden and an outdoor pool. The guest house is 1 km from the Country Club. The guesthouse was very spacious, the 4 of us fit very well in one house/room, well separated. Conway, our very helpful host briefed us what to do in the area. The house with its beautiful garden is a safe little island, and nearby there are many restaurants and bars where you can go to (by taxi only). During the electricity cut off the generators (or maybe solar energy reserves?) at the house were working, so wifi, lights and USB plugs were working (only the water pipe system wasn't, but that goes for the whole Johannesburg). Breakfast was excellent. Conway also helped us arrange airport transfers. Beautiful, clean, comfy, thank you again for the great experience!

A recently renovated apartment situated in Johannesburg, Maria's in Melville features a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Its absolutely beautiful. The view, the space, the comfort, safety. And the incredible attention to detail. It was better than a 5 star hotel in my opinion.

Located in Johannesburg, 2.8 km from Parkview Golf Club, 8.7 km from Johannesburg Stadium and 10 km from Apartheid Museum, Happy colourful cottage provides accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. Very nice, clean and peaceful place with comfortable equipments. Good and considerate communication with owners Nice restaurants and fairly pleasant nightlife just a few hundred meters from the accomodation ( some bars and restaurants with nice ambiance ). There is no 9.5 score so I modified the score to 10.

Offering a garden and garden view, "La Couronne" is situated in Johannesburg, 8 km from Johannesburg Stadium and 9.2 km from Apartheid Museum. I stayed for a month here and I loved it so much I didn’t want to leave! Laura and Walter were so kind and so helpful, and made me feel very comfortable and welcome. The cottage has everything that is needed for both a short and a longer stay. The property has the most amazing view over the Melville Koppies reserve and it is so private, peaceful and quiet; and I never felt unsafe at all. Just around the corner you have Melville which has plenty of restaurants and cafes, and not too far down the road you have a supermarket, so it was very convenient. I couldn’t recommend it enough!

Featuring pool views, The Melville Quarters offers accommodation with patio, around 3 km from Parkview Golf Club. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. 1) This is a spacious, very nice property, with 3 large ensuite bedrooms, with king sized beds 2) The beds are very comfortable, and the property is very quiet in the evenings. And Melville centre which is 5-10 mins walk away does have a strip of bars, and restaurants etc. 3) The area is safe and the property is very secure 4) This property is in a good central location. Melville is about 10-15 mins drive from Wits Univ, and the CBD. 5) There were no power cuts in the 7 days that we were there 6) The parking is secure, within the electrified fence of the property and electric gates, also the parking area is spacious 7) There is a supermarket and fast food outlet about 5 mins walk away 8) The owners live over the wall in the next house in the street, so that you have complete privacy 9) The owners Pierre and Corlien are very helpful In summary this was very good value for money
