Lokalita, dům a zahrady byly nádherné a všude bylo velké ticho a klid. Pokoj byl velmi příjemný a byli to absolutně vše, co je třeba. Paní hostitelka byla hrozně milá a příjemná a snídaně byly ňam! Letadlo nám letělo až kolem 17 a paní nás na ubytování nechala s věcmi pobývat až do odpoledne (ne na pokoji, ale to vůbec nevadilo)

The location is very tastefully designed, spacey and quiet. All the rooms and facilities match the descriptions very well. In addition the host was very helpful and uncomplicated to agree on a late check out when we had a personal issue to solve. The security staff was taking care well so that we never felt insecure. Restaurants and delis are near though we Uber-ed everywhere which was pretty easygoing. Thanks to the team and we would comeback again.

She cares about her guests and ensures they have the best stay she can provide. We sat and chatted for long periods of time and she makes the most incredible cup of tea. The room was much bigger than I expected it to be and the bed was so very, very comfortable. Melville is a lovely area of Johannesburg. Leafy streets with large houses. I felt safe walking the streets during the day however get an uber home at night just to be safe people! A wonderful and relaxing stay with the ever so wonderful Fiona as my host. I could ask for nothing more.

The view, the space, the comfort, safety. And the incredible attention to detail. It was better than a 5 star hotel in my opinion.

Safe location, nice, clean and comfortable. It was about $5 US to Uber to Constitution Hill or to the Apartheid Museum. A grocery store a couple blocks away.

Melville Turret Guesthouse se nachází v historické budově obklopené zahradou a terasou a nabízí svým hostům stylové ubytování. Ulice 7th Street s obchody a restauracemi je vzdálena 2 minuty chůze. This is a beautiful guesthouse in a quiet and safe neighbourhood with a lovely lady managing it. The loft room is fantastic, with big bathtube, TV with Netflix and Youtube, super comfy bed and well-equipped kitchen annex - a real gem. The area is very well protected, we walked there at night and it felt very safe, it's close to nice restaurants and a bit further but still perfectly walkable to the big supermarket and liquor store. The venue has a very pretty garden with pleasant seating options. We had some time before our flight and the managing lady let us leave our luggage to walk around and then stay in the garden as long as we needed which was very nice. The breakfast was very good, they could accommodate to our vegetarian requests:) All in all, we are sorry we didn't have more time to stay there for longer and if again in Joburg I think we'll choose this place again:)
