Staying at The Reserve was an absolute dream come true. I was treated with the utmost care feeling like royalty. The room was a haven of comfort, featuring a private swimming pool with ocean views. One of the most memorable experiences was my trip to the airport in the hotel’s Rolls Royce. :) The journey was the perfect way to conclude my stay, leaving me feeling pampered and refreshed in the most luxurious style. The Reserve exceeded all my expectations making it an unforgettable experience.

Set within tropical gardens on Madeira Island, this charming guesthouse features far-reaching sea views and 2 outdoor seawater pools, one of which is heated in winter period. We enjoyed the facilities on sight (pools, restaurant, bar, game room, sitting areas), the views, the books, helpful and nice staff, gardens, music performances, and the vibe of all the travelers.

Hotel Catedral offers elegantly decorated rooms in Funchal’s city centre. It features panoramic views of the area. It also offers free WiFi, as well as free parking. Location, location, location!:) You can almost touch the cathedral across from the Hotel Cathedral in the exact center of Funchal. I walked to my cruise ship from the hotel with all my luggage! The Xmas market area was right outside the door. The room was almost a suite (had a little seating area next to the window with a half wall separating it from the bed area) and had good mattresses, WiFi and shower, and room for all bags. Doors open to a faux balcony above the street. Breakfast was tasty and has alternative milk options and a fridge full of juices. Luggage storage is easy thanks to reception ladies Cristina and Maria. I had to add my friend to my reservation and the charge was only 15 Euro extra per night (thank you Maria!) Also love the top floor lounge and terrace overlooking the cathedral.
