They also treated us with cupcakes and bananas(likely from their garden). The apartment was very clean, one of those places where you feel like walking around barefoot or in white socks. I definitely recommend staying in these apartments.

Great view from the balcony. Location is perfect. It’s a nice 40 minute walk into the old town. By car - private parking available - you can explore the whole island easily. Ana is a great host. She can tell you a lot about Madeira and makes you feel at home.

Villa 65 - City Edge Retreat is a recently renovated villa in Funchal, where guests can make the most of its open-air bath and garden. Staying at this villa was really cool and super comfortable. The view of the valley was awesome, and we loved hanging out on the balcony. It had a hot tub and lots of seats, making it a great place for all of us to chill and talk. The design of the villa was really neat and comfortable, with lots of light making the place feel big and welcoming. The villa had everything we needed. The TV was huge and we watch some movies, and the kitchen had all we needed to cook, including a coffee machine with lots of coffee and tea options. The owner was really nice, showing us around the villa and present us some wine and travel advises. Our stay was really enjoyable, thanks to the all features of the villa and the thoughtful touches from the owner.

The apartment is modern, spacious and comfortable. I was travelling with a friend, so it was wonderful to have 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything we needed was at hand. A beautiful sunrise seen from my bedroom was a bonus:)

The apartment was very comfortable and provided everything we needed. The secure basement garage was a great plus as was the lift. The block the apartment is situated in also has a bakery, a shop that seems to stock everything and a lovely local restaurant that provides great local dishes at affordable prices. In addition the block even has an ATM. The view from the balcony was wonderful especially at night time when the Christmas lights were flickering all around us and St. Anthony's church was lit on the hillside above us.
