Situated 1.5 km from Sensoji Temple, MIMARU Tokyo Ueno North provides free WiFi in all areas. The accommodation features a hot tub. The units have a kitchen with a microwave and a fridge. Firm recommendation for larger families/groups. We stayed at the Mimaru Tokyo Ueno North hotel which is made up entirely of suites of various sizes. We had a suite for six (for five of us), three adults (my wife and I plus 21 year-old son) and two teenage kids, 15 & 17. The suite has four single beds, more like 3/4 doubles (based on U.K. bed sizes). Fine for one adult, plenty of room. The beds are quite firm, certainly firmer than I’m used to at home, but very comfortable. Lots of pillows and some of them are double sided with the rice grain type filling on one side. Others are soft like a feather pillow (not sure of the filling but they were just like they were filled with duck down). There’s also two bunk beds which are similar size but narrower. My oldest son, 6ft, had no issue sleeping in it. There’s a kitchen area and seating for six. It’s equipped with a hot plate, sink, fridge/freezer and kettle along with cutlery and plates for six. Sharp knives and chopping board, plus pots & pans under the sink. We didn’t cook in the room, but we bought in bread, butter, cereal and cheese for breakfast to fuel up before we started the day. There’s no toaster, but you can borrow these from reception for no charge (Mimaru hotels have a variety of what they call “rental” items but they’re all free to borrow). There’s a lounge area with TV (all Japanese channels) but we borrowed an Apple TV from reception so we could watch Netflix etc. It’s about an 8 minute walk to Ueno station and about 10-12 minutes from Ueno Centre (lots of restaurants and shops). Lawson and Family Mart within a few minutes for bits & pieces and there’s a larger supermarket in the station (although it seems more expensive than the konbinis for the stuff we’ve been buying for breakfast). The only thing I could say against it, was the lack of shelf space in the wardrobe for things like t-shirts & shorts etc that you’d normally lay flat rather than hang up.

Well set in Tokyo, &Here TOKYO UENO provides 3-star accommodation close to Ryuseido Shinjo-in Temple and Shitamachi Museum. Amazing location so close to Ueno park as well as great shopping. Beautiful accomidation and great view too. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

Attractively located in the Bunkyo district of Tokyo, Section L Yushima-Ueno is situated 600 metres from Kamezumiinari Shrine, 600 metres from Shitamachi Museum and 600 metres from Kyu-Iwasaki-tei... The staff was great! We noticed that they were of different nationalities and they speak very good English which was very helpful. Communicating with them was easy. They were also very accommodating. They even booked taxi services and received packages for us. :)

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, MIMARU Tokyo Ueno Okachimachi is situated in Tokyo, 300 metres from Ryuseido Shinjo-in Temple and 500 metres from Shitamachi Museum. We had an amazing stay! Room was very clean, spacious, and was perfect for a group of 8. Could actually fit 10 people probably. Highly recommend for big groups. LOVED that the room had 2 showers!! This was such a great help for a big group. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great, near to stations and Ueno Shopping Area and has Lawsons and some cafes very nearby. There’s also daily cleaning of beds. Also fully equipped with utensils, microwave, towels, toothbrushes, and loved that they changed our towels daily. Beds were soft and comfy and blankets were great. The Ninja Room were actually the same as the pictures given!

Set in Tokyo and with Jinnai Shrine reachable within 300 metres, HotelCO Kuramae ホテル コ 蔵前 offers a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. Room was clean, modern, well-equipped. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Well set in the Taito district of Tokyo, APA Hotel Asakusa Shin Okachimachi Ekimae is located 400 metres from Choen-ji Temple, 500 metres from The Shitaya Shrine and 600 metres from Tokaku-ji Temple. The hotel location was perfect for visiting Tokyo, there's a station nearby and so many shops/restaurants but the area is not chaotic at all. Our room was not big but very well organized, clean and equipped with absolutely everything we could need. All the staff has been kind, professional and helpful, we really apprecciated that they helped us with luggage shipment upon departure!

Located within 300 metres of Akiba Shrine and 100 metres of Sogenji Temple, FL Hotel Asakusa provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Tokyo. Great location, clean and comfortable rooms a very friendly staff.

In a prime location in the centre of Tokyo, APA Hotel Ueno Ekiminami provides air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant and free WiFi. Besides being clean, the staff were pleasant and helpful.
