However, Saltmarsh Farmhouse is unique in every way. A beautiful old house and inside, charming, atmospheric, clean rooms decorated with great taste. Plus an amazing location in the heart of Seven Sisters Park, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere, but what makes this place particularly special is the wonderful owner who is exceptional. Thank you for everything, the venue, the food, the help and the empathy. It was wonderful and we will definitely be back.

In 150 acres of gardens, park and woodland, PowderMills is a Grade II listed 18th-century country house hotel with an outdoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi, near the historical town of Battle. Beautiful place with walks beside the lake and loads of wildlife. Peacocks walk around lording it over the numerous ducks. We have stayed often as we initially used it due to it being dog friendly but even after our dogs died we still go there for the lovely views from the rooms (especially 32) and the restaurant is reliably good. Friendly and helpful staff.

In Ashdown Forest, this beautiful 19th-century mansion offers spacious rooms, a spa and a 2AA Rosette restaurant. Set in 186 acres of landscaped countryside, there is an 18-hole golf course. Every thing. The staff was great. The breakfast was very tasty, the view from our room was to the lake and the forest. There is no better way to get up in the morning and to see this view. Would come back for sure
