In Ashdown Forest, this beautiful 19th-century mansion offers spacious rooms, a spa and a 2AA Rosette restaurant. Set in 186 acres of landscaped countryside, there is an 18-hole golf course. Every thing. The staff was great. The breakfast was very tasty, the view from our room was to the lake and the forest. There is no better way to get up in the morning and to see this view. Would come back for sure

Unique location in the middle of Winchelsea. Very cosy, nice atmosphere. Have never stayed in an apartment where literally EVERYTHING was there, even a big flaslight! Handsoap, kitchen paper, etcetc. The living room is lovely, and the bed is excellent. It's also nice that the only 'supermarket' in town is a 1-minute-walk from the apartment. In this shop they have everything you need for your daily life, even 5 or 6 newspapers! Fresh bread from a bakery nearby, the same for meat. The owner makes you a coffee-to-go behind the counter! Lovely view from the top floor of the gazebo and also when you walk in the streets of Winchelsea. We left on Sunday morning, and since we had to check out at 10 o clock, I asked if it was possible to check out a bit later. This was no problem at all, and we did not have to pay extra for this. Wow! Would love to come back here.
