Mababe River Campsite has river views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Mababe, 11 km from Mababe Gate Chobe National Park. This campground offers a bar. Everything! Campsite is situated under trees, so nicely shadow. Unfenced, so you get the real natural wildlife thrill :) Lodge is amazingto hang out and watch the plains for more animals. Loved the honesty bar: grab your drink, make a note, pay later Owner/staff is really nice, we had great talks in the evening. Perfect start/ending point for Chobe!

Situated 11 km from Mababe Gate Chobe National Park, Mababe River Lodge offers air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. With river views, this accommodation provides a patio and a swimming pool. We expected something fairly basic, but it is not basic at all! What a magnificent place. Superb location, massive and very luxurious rooms with full view of the bush and a stunning restaurant and bar area. We also expected to struggle for food. But Mababe River lodge has a wonderful chef, and our meals were delicious and very plentiful. The staff is also very welcoming and professional. We had tons of wildlife around our rooms, including hyena and lion. We will most definitely be back!

Boasting river views, Semowi Lodge and Campsites offers accommodation with a garden, a bar and barbecue facilities, around 38 km from Nhabe Museum. Nice campsite. Beautiful river view from restaurant. Wonderful food and friendly staff. Clean ablutions.

Sitatunga Campsite Maun is a recently renovated campground in Maun, where guests can make the most of its outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi, open-air bath and garden. The staff are super friendly and helpful.. we booked the canoe (mokoro) through them which was an amazing experience. Very well organised, the packed lunch was delicious, the guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. Also the driver who took us to the mokoro place (Lovemore) was super nice. All in all it was a very great experience.

Located in Chiro Pan, Mankwe Camping is 36 km from Mababe Gate Chobe National Park. Featuring a private entrance, the campground allows guests to maintain their privacy. The owners/management were very generous in allowing us to use the pool at their resort, which was a different location from the camping area where we stayed. This was a welcome relief, as temperatures reached 42°C on the day that we were there! The campsite was beautiful and we had elephants wandering through in the night! They were very polite and circumnavigated the camp, without entering closer than 15 meters. We also heard hyenas, but they did not bother us. It was a magical evening in the bush!
