Mankwe campsite is designed for self-driving campers. You will enjoy the exclusive location of the Mankwe campsites which overlook the bush and mopane forest, and is located on the same concession as Mankwe Tented Retreat – our safari hub at the gateway to the Moremi Game Reserve. Each of the campsites is totally secluded, to allow guests a sense of privacy and exclusivity. Campsites are not fenced and wildlife, including big game like lion, elephant and buffalo, roam freely in the area. Campsites are equipped with bucket showers, flush toilets and washbasins. Water can be heated on the fire for a hot shower. Water is provided for campers, but this is not drinking water (please bring your own supply). Firewood is provided on the first night and is thereafter available for purchase at the Mankwe Tented Retreat. Camping guests may enjoy the swimming pool, lounge, bar and dining area of Mankwe Tented Retreat. Each campsite can accommodate a maximum of 6-8 guests in one group and 3 or 4 vehicles. Kindly take note that Mankwe Campsites does not have electricity and guests are required to be 100% self-sufficient.

Mankwe is located on a private concession spanning 365 000 hectares to the east of Moremi Game Reserve. This ideal positioning offers guests the luxury of exploring the private network of pans and game drive routes and the public Moremi reserve. Mankwe has close proximity to the Khwai River region and the waterways of the eastern Okavango Delta, making it the perfect place for full-day safari activities. Its location just outside Moremi makes it far more affordable than lodges inside Moremi, but guests have access the same game drive routes, pans, and pools as those accommodated in the reserve.
