Calheta Glamping Pods - Nature Retreat, a property with a garden, is located in Calheta, 27 km from Girao Cape, 28 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools, as well as 35 km from Marina do Funchal. We had an amazing stay in Calheta Glamping Pods. All is well designed and provides a relaxed atmosphere. We like to spend our time on our private terrace on a hammock with a glass of wine. The territory is calm and beautiful with lots of flowers around and a pool. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioner worked fine, and the bathroom was good. We had a small kitchen with all the staff you need to cook something. It was great to have a shared washing machine with drying mode - you should just pay 1 euro for the capsule. And we like to have complementary bread with a jam on our breakfasts. It took us around 10 minutes drive to get to the city center and a sendy beach. I definitely recommend this place.

Very nice property in a very nice location. Perfect for a romantic stay or even a getaway with one kid as well as for the hiking starting point - right in the middle of everything. Very nice stuff, very authentic experience.

It felt like a real escape. Lovely location, beautiful park and surroundings. The hut was perfect. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. We received a lovely welcome from Dioclecio, who was really friendly and great at communicating. If we visit Madeira again, we will definitely stay here :) Highly recommend. Thank you!

We had the most wonderful stay at the Mountain Eco Shelter. The location is beautiful - the lodges are in a beautiful Ecological Park full of plants and flowers. You can do hikes directly from the lodges. The lodges themselves have everything you need - a great kitchen, a comfortable bed and a balcony with a stunning view. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. There’s even a snackbar down the road where you can grab dinner & drinks. We loved every minute of our stay here and we are already planning to come back again.

Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

Location amongst the trees, great hikes nearby (including the famous Pico to Pico, which starts a short drive away) and a sunset hike on the doorstep, peaceful, friendly meet & greet from host and quick responses to messages, but not hassled. Bedding, towels and shower etc of good quality. Comfortable bed. Heater warmed the cabin up nicely when required.

Breathtaking scenery and amazing shelters! The shelters were very well-equipped and everything was harmonious. Even the cutlery had a bit of wood on it. Besides this, the host, Dioclécio, was super friendly and offered to help at any time. He advised me some trails to do in the Ecological Park, which I did. This was the best accommodation I’ve ever stayed in!
