What an amazing unique experience , a heartfelt thank you for a gorgeous stay, super sweet and welcoming owners and staff, breathtaking views, peaceful and 2 cute dogs. The tent is so gorgeous equipped with lush furniture and you will find everything you need. I loved how breakfast is cutely delivered each morning and even if you need to leave early in the morning they will bring it to you in the afternoon of previous day. Super accommodating , friendly and such lovely people. Gorgeous views from the tents, relaxing and bliss pool area. Highly recommended that this should be experienced! The room was really clean. It had a nice private terrace with beautiful views. The private parking was very convenient too. The property offered some food and drinks at a low cost. It also offered facilities, like a washing machine service, at a low cost.

Dioclecio was a very friendly and helpful host and his responses when we messaged him were instant.. Everything was really clean and we had everything we needed. A very beautiful place to stay. We would highly recommend it.

The Mountain Eco Shelter is such a charming place that you'd be wrong not to sleep here during your stay in Madeira. You feel perfectly safe and surrounded by nature. The shelter is very comfortable (the kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is perfect and beautiful, the bed is very comfortable), the terrace offers a breathtaking view of the mountains and the valley of Funchal with the sea, we really enjoyed eating outside with this view. The shelters are located in the Funchal Ecological Park, which gives them a special flavor: you feel right at home in nature, and there are hiking trails from the park. Unfortunately, we stayed during the August 2024 fires and were therefore unable to do some of the hikes, but this didn't spoil our stay and the host was very reassuring and informative about the fire. Many thanks to the team for this.

Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

This place is located INSIDE the national ecological park, and provides access to some of the best hiking on the island. We were a family of three, and everyone slept comfortably, and enjoyed walking to O Barracão, which has amazing poncha and a great food selection. The property also has a small pond with trout, and friendly donkeys. Dioclécio greeted us, and had great recommendations for hikes and information about the local area. We would love to come and visit again!

The shelter was exactly as shown in the pictures. Very comfortable! The location is great, there is a very good and low price restaurant that you can reach through a short walk. Dioclécio was very kind and gave us a few pieces of advice on what to do in the area. The position is strategic for PR1 and other trek routes. It has been an amazing stay, and we're looking forward to coming back. This place is pure beauty!
