Excellent glamping experience, with well equipped domes (mini kitchen, bathroom, separate bedroom and living room, private terrace) and a heated pool ! Amazing views for sunset as much as sunrise on the edge of a cliff. It can get a little windy but that's part of the experience to feel closer to nature. The breakfast is brought on a basket to your room. There is even a little herbs garden where you can pick them and use them to cook. The experience is as good as it gets ! Highly recommended.

Calheta Glamping Pods - Nature Retreat, a property with a garden, is located in Calheta, 27 km from Girao Cape, 28 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools, as well as 35 km from Marina do Funchal. One of the best accomodations we've ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous surroundings, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. We certainly felt like we were in paradise valley. The gardens in springtime are full of colour and delightfully scented. The atmosphere of the whole property is incredible, perfect for relaxing. We had an amazing experience, the host also was incredibly helpful.The room was wonderful, cozy, clean, and fully equiped!! Great touch was the freshly baked delicious bread every morning. Definitely a must do if you are looking for a good time in Madeira!!!

Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

Mountain Eco Shelter 3, a property with a garden, is set in Corujeira de Dentro, 22 km from Girao Cape, 27 km from Santana's traditional houses, as well as a few steps from Funchal Ecological Park. This place is located INSIDE the national ecological park, and provides access to some of the best hiking on the island. We were a family of three, and everyone slept comfortably, and enjoyed walking to O Barracão, which has amazing poncha and a great food selection. The property also has a small pond with trout, and friendly donkeys. Dioclécio greeted us, and had great recommendations for hikes and information about the local area. We would love to come and visit again!

Beautiful modern wooden cabin in the middle of nowhere. Such a peaceful location, but not too far from Funchal if you want to get down (20-25 mins in a taxi) A range of lovely walks from the front door. Amazing shower. Able to stargaze at night. There’s a fantastic ‘snack bar’ just a few mins walk away with super friendly staff and a range of amazing poncha flavours. We can’t wait to go back next year!
