The accommodation you provided and the unparalleled view of the ocean were beyond everything. Our room was wonderful, like a dream world; the closeness of nature and the view of the sky was amazing. The special atmosphere of the accommodation, as well as the comfortable and carefully designed equipment, all contributed to the fact that we could spend calm and relaxing days here. We really appreciated the warmth and attention with which they welcomed us and all the useful information they gave us about the island and the attractions in the area. The breakfasts were always tasty and plentiful, giving us a great start to each day. I am sure we will be back and recommend this fabulous place to others.

Mountain Eco Shelter 8, que cuenta con vistas a la montaña, dispone de alojamiento con terraza y cafetera a unos 25 km de Cabo Girão. Dioclecio was a very friendly and helpful host and his responses when we messaged him were instant.. Everything was really clean and we had everything we needed. A very beautiful place to stay. We would highly recommend it.

Mountain Eco Shelter 6, que cuenta con vistas a la montaña, dispone de alojamiento con balcón y cafetera a unos 25 km de Cabo Girão. simply amazing - beautiful nature around, quiet at night, spacious enough for a couple even for a longer stay, super comfortable bed, many hiking routes directly accessible, animals around - donkeys, wild rabbis and peacocks...it really had all we needed + the best host...thank you and hope to be back!

Lovely location, beautiful park and surroundings. The hut was perfect. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. We received a lovely welcome from Dioclecio, who was really friendly and great at communicating. If we visit Madeira again, we will definitely stay here :) Highly recommend. Thank you!

Mountain Eco Shelter 5, que tiene vistas a la montaña, ofrece alojamiento con terraza y patio a unos 25 km de Cabo Girão. We had the most wonderful stay at the Mountain Eco Shelter. The location is beautiful - the lodges are in a beautiful Ecological Park full of plants and flowers. You can do hikes directly from the lodges. The lodges themselves have everything you need - a great kitchen, a comfortable bed and a balcony with a stunning view. The staff here are really friendly and helpful. There’s even a snackbar down the road where you can grab dinner & drinks. We loved every minute of our stay here and we are already planning to come back again.

Mountain Eco Shelter 4, que tiene vistas a la montaña, dispone de alojamiento con bicicletas gratis, jardín y terraza a unos 14 km de Puerto deportivo Marina de Funchal. Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

Mountain Eco Shelter 3, que cuenta con vistas a la montaña, dispone de alojamiento con balcón y cafetera a unos 22 km de Cabo Girão. This place is located INSIDE the national ecological park, and provides access to some of the best hiking on the island. We were a family of three, and everyone slept comfortably, and enjoyed walking to O Barracão, which has amazing poncha and a great food selection. The property also has a small pond with trout, and friendly donkeys. Dioclécio greeted us, and had great recommendations for hikes and information about the local area. We would love to come and visit again!

Mountain Eco Shelters 2, que tiene vistas a la montaña, ofrece alojamiento con patio y cafetera a unos 25 km de Cabo Girão. WOW! Beautiful modern wooden cabin in the middle of nowhere. Such a peaceful location, but not too far from Funchal if you want to get down (20-25 mins in a taxi) A range of lovely walks from the front door. Amazing shower. Able to stargaze at night. There’s a fantastic ‘snack bar’ just a few mins walk away with super friendly staff and a range of amazing poncha flavours. We can’t wait to go back next year!
