Just bring your towel and a happy attitude. I took the buses from the beach to the other beach. I didn't bring an International driver's license, so no car for me. I could rent an electric bike, but I would rather sit on the air-conditioning buses. All the beaches in Miyako Jima are good, so taking buses close to any beach was not a problem. And this hostel is very close to the bus stop which goes to the airport also. Google map bus schedule is up to date, so you can trust that and just give and take 5-7min. I will miss this place for sure. I attached the food photo which the owner cooked for the guest that he caught on that day and the beach is 25 min walk from the hostel.

The house was clean and well prepared, there are comfortable beds. It is very close to the Maehama Beach which is wonderful. We also experienced lovely encounter with the family living in the house. Even though, there was a language barrier (Japanese/English), we managed to communicate smoothly and also got some amazing recommendations regarding the island. Highly recommended!

Clean, close to bus station. Big and comfortable facilities as well as lounge area on ground floor and first floor. Good and comfortable bed. Big spaces in shower. Close to grocery and restaurants. The owner helped me to schedule a tour on the island by my self and allowed to store my luggage before check in. Excellent host.
