My stay has been short but beyond perfect. They also sell cheap dinners, which is a must try. If available, try to get the room(or whatever this small building is called) with a ‘mountain view’. Can see a lot of stars in the night and breathe fresh air. Staff has been very nice and helpful. Breakfasts are wonderful.

The hosts were extremely helpful for coordinating transport to and from the island. And went above and beyond when it came to other travel logistics. For example one ferry broke down and the online system for the other wasn't working. They still manage to get everyone tickets.

Janur Bungalow offers an accommodation in Borobudur, set in a village surrounded by rice fields. It boasts an outdoor pool with overflow circulation system. Everything was just perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Bobby, his wife and the staff were super friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was just amazing, very tasty and beautiful served each time😍 Room was very stylish , bed comfortable, bathroom and shower very good. Great pool area to relax with nice view. The area is quiet and there are no restaurants near by but there is one market on the corner for basic stuff( 2 min walking)and one warung close by open from 9:00 to 18:00 with delicious and cheap food for dinner.( About 5 min walk) . Borobudur temple is just 10 min with the taxi ( you can get there allready for 20-30 k ). About 1.5 h drive to the airport . Thank you for the lovely stay!

Lovely boutique type resort with all modern amenities. Loved the cottage I was in. Big and spacious. This was the at the end of the property. Away from the pool. Lovely to sit on the veranda and read. There is an homely atmosphere everywhere. Staff are very helpful. Food was excellent for me. I like Indonesian / Javanese food so was quite happy to have what was on the menu. They even went out of the way to prepare a local dish specially for me called "nasi liwet".

Nastanitev 44 Guest House Syariah se nahaja v mestu Purwokerto, 21 km od znamenitosti Owabong in 42 km od znamenitosti Mount Slamet. Guesthouse 44 was my second home for a week in Purwokerto. The room was not spacious, but it had all necessary appliances and good air conditioning. A double room was just enough for my luggage, so I suggest if you travel with a partner, get a bigger room, the price is really affordable. The bathroom might surprise you, because it has no sink, just a shower, and no mirror, which is somewhat inconvenient. The room was sparkling clean, the bed sheets and the towels smelled amazing, it was regularly cleaned and supplied with bottled water every day. As a foreigner, you might get some special treatment, as the managers are really caring and put in a lot of effort to be of best service. The breakfast is abundant, if you don't like the local style, they'll prepare you some pancakes, omelette and steamed vegetables, so as to make sure you don't go out hungry. It is a good idea to bring some small present for the lady and her husband who run the hotel (they are about 60) - it will make their day. At their place you will surely feel as a part of a big family. Please bear in mind, that although the hotel is near the city center, you cannot walk in Purwokerto, since the streets are bustling with cars and motorcycles and there are no sidewalks for pedestrians. Walking is really dangerous, so better take a taxi. And speaking of taxies, I can recommend this nice young taxi driver in Jakarta, working for the Bluebird company, who speaks perfect English and is a very honest and helpful person: +62 852-1258-2235 (Willy). You may contact him on WhatsApp in advance, and he'll pick you up at the airport, without an extra fee. I had to bargain with many taxi drivers when I arrived in Jakarta in order to get an almost fair price, while this one trusts his meter, so no need to worry. Good luck with your adventure!

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, beautiful setting in a traditional guesthouse, convenient location for seeing the sights, comfortable bed, quiet at night, and great breakfast. Highly recommended!

Nastanitev omah kayu jagalan je v mestu Magelang, 14 min hoje od znamenitosti tempelj Borobudur in 39 km od znamenitosti Železniška postaja Yogyakarta Tugu Train Station, ter nudi vrt, brezplačen WiFi... Quiet but central wooden huts. Breakfast (we were the only guests but got a very good cappuchino and traditional Indonesian rice free breakfast. Very helpful were free bicycles to the Borobodur temple area entrance which is now no longer a short walking distance, but has been recently moved a 20-30 walk away. Important about Borobodur under the new regime: Make sure you book online ahead of time the „structural tour“ with roof access. Without it you will likely be disappointed.

In 10 days of traveling around Java I had not stayed in a place that was so nice to be inside. The room was terrifically clean, the size ample, the air conditioner worked well, there was hot water, and a nice porch out front. My only suggestion would be to place a wall mounted electric fan on the front porch so that guests can be outside more comfortably
