Our stay at Bhumi was absolutely amazing! The place is located in a quiet and beautiful area, just couple of minutes walk from the temple. We intended to stay for only one day but ended up extending. The staff was wonderful and super helpful. We borrowed bicycles and went for a ride around the village and they helped us to arrange transport to the city and get to the station. They made everything easy and comfortable for us. The food was also amazing. The facilities are clean and beautiful exactly as on the pictures.

The hosts were extremely helpful for coordinating transport to and from the island. And went above and beyond when it came to other travel logistics. For example one ferry broke down and the online system for the other wasn't working. They still manage to get everyone tickets.

Amata Borobudur Resort er með fjallaútsýni og býður upp á gistingu með svölum, um 5,1 km frá Borobudur-hofinu. Lovely boutique type resort with all modern amenities. Loved the cottage I was in. Big and spacious. This was the at the end of the property. Away from the pool. Lovely to sit on the veranda and read. There is an homely atmosphere everywhere. Staff are very helpful. Food was excellent for me. I like Indonesian / Javanese food so was quite happy to have what was on the menu. They even went out of the way to prepare a local dish specially for me called "nasi liwet".

Guesthouse 44 was my second home for a week in Purwokerto. The room was not spacious, but it had all necessary appliances and good air conditioning. A double room was just enough for my luggage, so I suggest if you travel with a partner, get a bigger room, the price is really affordable. The bathroom might surprise you, because it has no sink, just a shower, and no mirror, which is somewhat inconvenient. The room was sparkling clean, the bed sheets and the towels smelled amazing, it was regularly cleaned and supplied with bottled water every day. As a foreigner, you might get some special treatment, as the managers are really caring and put in a lot of effort to be of best service. The breakfast is abundant, if you don't like the local style, they'll prepare you some pancakes, omelette and steamed vegetables, so as to make sure you don't go out hungry. It is a good idea to bring some small present for the lady and her husband who run the hotel (they are about 60) - it will make their day. At their place you will surely feel as a part of a big family. Please bear in mind, that although the hotel is near the city center, you cannot walk in Purwokerto, since the streets are bustling with cars and motorcycles and there are no sidewalks for pedestrians. Walking is really dangerous, so better take a taxi. And speaking of taxies, I can recommend this nice young taxi driver in Jakarta, working for the Bluebird company, who speaks perfect English and is a very honest and helpful person: +62 852-1258-2235 (Willy). You may contact him on WhatsApp in advance, and he'll pick you up at the airport, without an extra fee. I had to bargain with many taxi drivers when I arrived in Jakarta in order to get an almost fair price, while this one trusts his meter, so no need to worry. Good luck with your adventure!

Omahku Homestay er staðsett í Borobudur-hofinu, í innan við 1,5 km fjarlægð frá Yogyakarta Tugu-lestarstöðinni og býður upp á herbergi með loftkælingu og sérbaðherbergi í Borobudur. Very nice personel !!! Location to the Borobudur was perfect (about 10n minute walk).

NDalem Kartowikoro 1835 er gististaður með verönd í Solo, 3,4 km frá The Park Solo, 49 km frá Prambanan-hofinu og 700 metra frá Kasunanan-höllinni. The inn is very interesting, considering that the house has been established since 1835. The building is still very good & well maintained. By staying here, my family and friends can feel how to live in an old house. The owners are very friendly, happy to help, provide recommendations for shopping, local restaurants that are very good. And the staff is always ready to help.
