I cannot describe how much I loved this place; I was made to feel welcome and at home from the minute I arrived and so much care and thought has clearly been put into the casa. The communal spaces and garden are beautiful and spotlessly clean and I loved all the little details like your own space in the fridge and that you can buy/order in groceries and drinks. Location was super quiet and close to the beach and it was really hard to leave this little bit of heaven!

Very nice cabin, directly next to the water! good temperature due to the wind from the lake. Very Kind owner. There were good restaurants in the area and a cozy vibe. Even though it was a cabin with open window (no glass) we actually only saw a few small insects inside if any! It was clean and nice. Of course you come here for a different experience than a 5-star hotel, and that you get! We can really recommend it!!! It’s very special to stay here😃 Everything was as it should be and we would come again!

I spent most of my evenings chatting with Maximo and Martha, they have values that I find beautiful. They have the heart on the hand and cares about the comfort of the hosts.

The host named Melissa spoke English and was very accommodating even drove me to town a couple of times when I first arrives. The apartment was great! It’s a 2 bedroom downstairs in a house with a big porch. The full kitchen & bath both have hot water! There are about 8 houses on the property which is in an ideal location. Because I was a solo traveler Jan-Luc had it priced for use of only one of the bedrooms which was perfect for me. The property is surrounded by local residents which I like. There was no noise from SJDS just sounds of the surrounding neighborhood - kids playing, dogs barking, roosters & birds crowing. I actually extended my stay for almost 2 weeks. After the first week the sheets & towels were changed and the apartment was totally cleaned. Everyone was very friendly - the gardeners, the cleaning lady, the night security guard, other guests & of course, Jan-Luc. Since he lives on the property, he is very available. When I told him I had a 9 am flight out of Managua, he arranged for a taxi to pick me up at 4:30 am for a good price. The nighttime cuidador helped me meet the taxi at the front gate & the taxi driver was punctual & a safe driver.
