This was a unique experience open to the elements - be prepared for the sound of waves crashing, wind, insects etc protected well at night by the mosquito net over the bed. Che is very helpful and nothing is a problem. Highly recommend it provided you are prepared for what is on offer.

While the accommodation is simple, it covers all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The highlight was definitely Junior, our host. He’s warm, speaks great English, and is an excellent guide for hiking to the volcanoes. His local knowledge and friendly personality really made the experience memorable.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Casa Mariposa. Lovely, modern, clean, self-contained with a well-stocked functioning kitchen. Felt like an AirBnB back home. Great location close to the surf, short 10min walk on the flat to Colorado's and 10mins to the shop in the other direction. Fully equipped for surfers with board storage area and outdoor shower. Eddie who lives there was so friendly and helpful - even gave us some of his homegrown bananas! Cannot recommend this place enough, one of our most enjoyable stays in Nicaragua

Ubytovanie The Stone Elephant - A place to relax in town with Hot Water and a Pool sa nachádza v destinácii San Juan del Sur 6 min. It was in a great location. Close to the main center of town but away enough to be able to sleep at night when the parties are going. Very lovely and responsive host and the accommodations were fantastic. The bed was comfortable and the hot water was such a nice thing to have. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked. Being able to make coffee in the morning first thing instead of needing to find a cafe was an incredible bonus. A great home away from home. We felt very comfortable and at peace.
