After swimming in the lake, they took us to a secret viewpoint from where you could see Lion Rock and Pisurangala. The next day they got up extra early to show us the sunrise, which was extremely worthwhile. After that, they showed us the whole day and I saw places that I would never have seen otherwise. It was a great stay that I will never forget!

Gangadiya Lodge is a small family-managed hotel in a quiet area just about five minutes away from the entrance to Sigiriya Rock. The family is very welcoming and has helped us with the organization of a Jeep Safari. They have their own tuktuk and were happy to drive us to Sigiriya Rock or to the village at a fair rate. Nice garden, excellent Sri Lankan breakfast.
