As previous reviewers note, the neighborhood is not hip but the inside of the house is refurbished and clean. Everything in the house worked as it should. There's nothing to complain about. Our appartment (first floor) was spacious, nicely decorated and a super nice place to return after a day out in nature to relax and to unwind. Enough daylight came in and it was bright enough as windows are a bit small. Dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer were great to have in the flat.

Our host Lee was very helpful and easy to reach via WhatsApp. We thoroughly enjoyed the house.

Hartoft St is an absolute gem of a place. Our group consisted of two adults and two kids and it was the perfect base for our trip to York. The location is ideal - 30 seconds walk to the river and a 15 minute walk into the heart of York along the river or by the main roads. Parking is available outside and we had no problem finding a space. The property itself has everything you need and we found it to be a truly welcoming and comfortable setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here.

We travelled to the area to visit our son and this was a fabulous little find. We normally travel as a couple but this time we were accompanied by our other son (in his thirties). The property had absolutely everything you could ask for and was immaculate and clean. Like home from home. The owners were also very helpful and timely with replies and information. Would definitely recommend and 100% would stay again (although I can imagine it is rarely available). Thank you so much.
