The air-conditioned rooms at Ryokan Annex Katsutaro feature Japanese futon bedding, and each has a TV and fridge. The attached bathroom includes a bathtub.
This place is fantastic! Only 2 mins walk from Sendagi station ( subway) and 10 mins walk from Nippori ( JR line), there are two supermarkets nearby. The restaurants nearby required booking in advanced, that’s why I got sushi and bento from 7-11 across the ryokan. There’s a great place for breakfast that I go almost daily- coffee chi-zu, you can get a set for 600 Yen in weekday, great deal in the area. Also, the fish restaurant nearby is also worth going.
The host is very responsive to my request, since the tatami mat is hard for me, so they gave me extra mat so I can sleep tight at night :)
Definitely will come back again! Thank you!

Friendly respectful staff. Onsen traditions in the city. Fabulous restaurant serving formal set breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tatami in all rooms. Zen vibes through the whole hotel. City views exceptional. Entrance and foyer reminiscent of mountain ryokans. Roof top onsen baths looking over the city below.
We loved our room! Authentic Japanese experience. Breakfast was delicious and wholesome. Futons were comfy. Room was always cleaned immaculately. The rooms have real tatami mat floors (not plastic like in other hotels). The onsen was nice and relaxing.
We stayed one night at this hotel in a family room due to an early morning flight. The family room was well set-up, with a tatami area where the futons were rolled up until we needed them. There are also 2 twin beds. The hotel is connected to Terminal 3 and a shopping center, so finding dinner was not a problem. The highlight was the Japanese onsen with 5 indoor pools and 3 outdoor pools. It was a nice soak before the long flight to finish our holiday.
Lovely ryokan in a great area of Tokyo. Warm-hearted welcome and lovely people. Delicious Japanese breakfast. Extremely comfortable beds! If you are looking for a Japanese style accommodation (ryokan with futon beds and tatami floored room) in Tokyo, Ito Ryokan is perfect!
Stylish and welcoming Ryokan, in a quieter part of Tokyo, yet 5 minutes walk to the metro stop. Rooms are tiny but well equipped, tatami mats with very comfortable futons. Shared bathrooms are good. Jacuzzi is a great bonus. And breakfast excellent, as is the coffee.
Very comfortable ryokan type features, tatami, shoe storage downstairs and then you walk around even barefoot. Nice rooms and excellent onsen with amazingly dark water. Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops around. And the Sensoji temple is just around the corner.
That's a good place for those looking for a traditional japanese ryokan experience: sleeping on a futon in tatami room in a traditional house in wood. Well located, personnel were very friendly and I felt as if it was my home.
traditional Japanese ryokan. I really liked the room with futon and tatami, small but has got everything you need!
The price was a steal. We paid so little and received such a relaxing place, beautiful looking, clean and with towels, yukata, brushes… everything was there. Such a lovely place and in a style of a ryokan. The futons were so fluffy. Loved it!!
