Oyado Koto No Yume ligger blot 2 minutters gang fra Takayama Station og har farverige værelser i japansk stil, kildevandsbade, en restaurant der serverer morgenmad samt gratis wi-fi i hele bygningen. it was totally romantic, we love it, it was close to the main streets, the room was over our spectations, my wife was aided when she need to wear yukata, the personel was lovely and always pay attention to our need, we will come back when returning to Japan

K's House Ito Onsen - Historical Ryokan Hostel ligger i Shizuoka i en 100 år gammelt fredet hus, blot 7 minutters gang fra JR Ito Station. Lovely hotel with great facilities. Clean and gorgeous looking aesthetic in a beautiful old house. Female dorm room was clean and good value. Good luggage storage facilities.

Iroriyado Hidaya er et nyrenoveret 4-stjernet overnatningssted i Takayama, 1,6 km fra Takayama Station. Der er have, fælles opholdsstue og privat parkering. -staff was so kind and welcoming. Spent time with us to explain nearby areas and restaurants, spent time with my daughters to try on kimonos. Everyone was so kind and amazing. -Room was awesome and spacious. We had 2 children (age 11 and 8), 2 adults. We enjoyed the room and space. -Bedding (futon, comforter, pillows) was high end quality. Excellent comfort and clean. -Yukata robes in the room for each person to wear to onsen and in the house -Japanese breakfast was delicious ! We had 2 breakfasts, the menu was different each morning. -Hotel is not in the downtown area but we liked that. We enjoyed being away in a quiet area and the walk was not bad. Taking taxi was also easy and cost about 1,000 yen each way. -Onsen was very nice, and private. Super clean and so enjoyable to relax after a full day out. We stayed for two nights and while it cost more than other hotels, it was well worth it. Everything was superb. The selection of beautiful kimonos were amazing; I ended up buying 2 (one for my daughter, one for me). We can’t wait to go back and visit the staff, and experience the quietness of Takayama.

Atami Sekaie ligger i Atami, 2,6 km fra Atami Sun Beach, 25 km fra Hakone-Yumoto Station og 35 km fra Shuzen-ji-templet. Der er restaurant på stedet, gratis privat parkering og gratis wi-fi. Everything! The staff were so polite and welcoming. The welcome seating and drink while staff helped us check in was so pleasant, our own personal staff to show us to our room, the beautiful room with all the little details or amenities, our own traditional Yakuta to wear to meals, the private onsen and peaceful nature of the ocean view. Everything was amazing!!

SOKI ATAMI ligger i Atami, 1,7 km fra Atami Sun Beach, og har sauna og varmt kildebad samt værelser med aircondition. Dette 4-stjernede ryokan har døgnåben reception og elevator. Amazing. The design, facilities and staffs were all amazing. There was a 7-11 close by as well.

Toraya ligger i Gero, 48 km fra Takayama Station og 49 km fra Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. Der er fælles opholdsstue og rolig gadeudsigt. I loved the simplicity of this place. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple but it is tasty and hearty. The private onsen is my favourite. It is a bit pricey but worth it! The room was quiet and comfortable. I really loved my stay there.

Yumeguri no Yado Yoshiharu ligger 10 km fra Shuzen-ji-templet og tilbyder 5-stjernet indkvartering i Izunokuni samt have. The staff was very attentive and friendly, food was top class.

Izu Hokkawa Seaside Guesthouse ligger i Higashiizu, blot 4 km fra de varme kilder i Atagawa. The owner offered to drive me to a nearby 温泉 and pick me up again for only a small prize, so I did not have to take the train.

Kisho Careen ligger i Higashiizu i Shizuoka-regionen, 1,8 km fra den varme kilde Atagawa. Der er terrasse og spa-center. Gæsterne kan nyde solopgangen og udsigten over Sagami-bugten. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. Food quality was good and the onsen is perfect.

Nagataki ligger i Nakatsugawa, 10 km fra Toson Memorial Museum og 10 km fra Magome Wakihonjin Museum. Der er have og udsigt til haven. A wonderful experience: the view from the camera and the onsen seems to a paint; the room service was accurate, detailed and awesome.The nicest staff I've ever seen (we annoyed the staff with a lot of requests and they satisfied all of them). I think is one of the best place not only for starting or ending the Nakasendo way but also just for resting your body and mind.
