Located within 11 km of Saifuku-ji Temple and 12 km of Izumi Inoue Shrine in Izumi, Oukai Villa Izumi provides accommodation with seating area. I loved our stay here, the small house was amazing and everything was super clean. The garden is spectacular just like in the photos. I booked with halfpension and both the Japanese breakfast and dinner (hotpot and BBQ) were delicious. The location is far from the center of Osaka, but we came for Mt. Koya which is easy to reach from the hotel with a paid shuttle service that was pretty cheap! There is also a free timed shuttle service to Izumi-chuo station though. I'd stay here if you want to relax, bike or hike!

山荘 風の杜 Sanso Kazenomori has a public bath and air-conditioned guest accommodation in Minoo, 12 km from Oohara Park, 14 km from Aeon Mall Ibaraki and 14 km from Ibaraki Shrine. The facility was very high quality and the view of the city was stunning.

Featuring free WiFi and a hot spring bath, Okumizuma Onsen offers accommodation in Kaizuka, 37 km from Osaka. Free private parking is available on site. Rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV. We arrived late in the evening and were unable to enjoy the surroundings of Okumizuma Onsen. Still, we were able to notice that Okumizuma Onsen is a very beautiful, high-quality ryokan-onsen type inn. Okumizuma Onsen is located right in nature in the middle of the hills. The very spacious common lounge with two massage chairs and drinks dispensers overlooks the well-kept and beautiful garden. Okumizuma Onsen has double indoor and outdoor (covered) onsens: don't miss this last ! Room is spacious, clean and comfortable, and the staff is just lovely. As Okumizuma Onsen is located in a fairly remote location, it is not easy to find a restaurant nearby especially at night time: don't hesitate to book meals at Okumizuma Onsen, especially the traditional kaiseki type dinner which is worth trying. Our regret: too short 1-night stay !

At Fudoguchikan, guests can bathe in the open air, in a public hot-spring bath that boasts mountain and river views. Tranquil Japanese-style rooms offer river views, some from a private open-air bath.... All the staff were incredibly kind, and since the place wasn’t too crowded, it was perfect for enjoying the onsen at a relaxed pace. Being close to the airport also saved us travel time, allowing us to make the most of our trip. The kaiseki dinner was beautifully plated and full of care, with both the presentation and flavors being exceptional. This was my first trip with my mom, and we had such a wonderful time together. I would love to visit again in the future with my dad, mom, sibling’s family, and my husband.

Situated in Osaka, 700 metres from Matsunomiya Shrine and 1.1 km from Tsurumibashi Shopping Street, Suzuran Tengachaya offers free WiFi and air conditioning. Good location og and the staff was sweet and helpful.

Located in Osaka, less than 1 km from Osaka Johnan Christ Church, Wafu Ryokan Uehonmachi provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. The location is excellent for getting to the airport as the direct airport bus leaves from a hotel at the station, barely 5 minutes walk from the ryokan. The room was small but perfectly comfortable. They do not serve food, but there was a fridge, kettle, teapot and green tea as well as some Japanese snacks in the room. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, including the basement of a department store (not to be missed!) within the Uehonmachi station complex

Set in Osaka, 200 metres from Shimoyamatobashi Monument and 1.1 km from the centre, Hotel Yu-shu offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. Location is a short walk from the neon light madness of Namba. The room was superbly clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable.

Situated just 16 km from Tennyu-ji Temple, Ryokan Fushioukaku offers accommodation in Ikeda with access to a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, an open-air bath, as well as a lift. It was an amazing ryokan! Of course, we have nothing to compare it to since it was our first experience, but it exceeded all our expectations. 1. The private bath in the room was fantastic! My boyfriend and I were absolutely thrilled with it. Plus, the view from the room was stunning. 2. The kaiseki was incredible! Every dish was unique and delicious. They were beautifully decorated for the momiji (autumn leaves) season, which was such a lovely touch. 3. The hot springs themselves were wonderful; it was such a pleasure to spend time there. They were also very understanding about my tattoo. It’s quite large and on my ribs, but they gave me two big skin-colored patches that completely covered it, so I didn’t scare anyone. :) 4. The yukatas were beautiful. And there’s a manga corner in the lobby on the first floor—perfect for some reading! :) 5. The transfer service was very convenient. We missed the 3:30 PM shuttle from Ikeda Station and could only arrive at 7:00 PM. However, I called the hotel at 4:00 PM to let them know we missed the transfer and asked if it was possible for them to pick us up at 7:00 PM instead. The staff kindly informed me that the transport would be waiting for us at the designated time at Ikeda Station. And that’s exactly what happened—everything went smoothly and was very convenient.
