Enjoyed the dinner and picturesque property provided by Nanten-en. It’s an old but well preserved ryokan nested in beautiful nature. Very thoughtful to have a humidifier that most properties don’t have!

På Fudoguchikan kan gæsterne bade i et offentligt varmt kildebad, der har udsigt over bjergene og floden. The food (dinner 怀石料理) was amazing ! Every small course is so interesting and delicious ! The ryokan is also very near the Inunakisan hiking route, we did the 30 min hike to the waterfall and the temple which was a really beautiful walk. Plus there is also a shuttle bus service to Izumosano which was very convenient

Suzuran Tengachaya ligger i Osaka, 700 m fra Matsunomiya-helligdommen og 1,1 km fra butiksgaden Tsurumibashi. Der er gratis wi-fi og aircondition. God beliggenhed, lige ved en metro. To stop fra floden og de sjove steder i byen. Meget søde og hjælpsomme og venlige medarbejdere. Kvarteret er stille med et stort supermarked meget tæt på.

Wafu Ryokan Uehonmachi ligger i Osaka, mindre end 1 km fra Osaka Johnan Christ Church, og tilbyder værelser med aircondition, gratis wi-fi samt hurtig ind- og udtjekning. The location is excellent for getting to the airport as the direct airport bus leaves from a hotel at the station, barely 5 minutes walk from the ryokan. The room was small but perfectly comfortable. They do not serve food, but there was a fridge, kettle, teapot and green tea as well as some Japanese snacks in the room. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, including the basement of a department store (not to be missed!) within the Uehonmachi station complex

Hotel Yu-shu har en ideel beliggenhed i Chuo Ward-kvarteret i Osaka, 200 meter fra Shimoyamatobashi-monumentet, 300 meter fra Hoan-ji-templet og 600 meter fra Nipponbashi-monumentet. Good location, close to Dotonbori and other areas. Cleanliness was top-notch. They check and clean the room every day at around 9 AM (a bit early for some, but there’s a lock on the door you can activate, so that they can come back later). Tatami-flooring was in exquisite shape and was comfortable to walk on (without shoes, of course). Being that the guest sleeps in a futon on the floor, it could get a bit uncomfortable at times (but I think this is par for the course and a matter of habit). Just be aware that the check-in desk is not located at the same place as the building with the rooms.

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Minoh Kanko Hotel ligger i Minoo, 10 km fra Oohara Park, og tilbyder indkvartering med spa-faciliteter, offentligt bad og udendørs bad. We love onsen, so the facility is fantastic. We enjoyed our stay from check-in till leaving the hotel.

Imazato Ryokan ligger 5 minutters gang fra Imazato Station på Kintetsu-linjen samt metroen og byder på prisvenlige værelser med fladskærms-tv og gratis wi-fi. The breakfast is an absolute highlight. Traditional Japanese style with miso, rice and fish. The room was beautiful with traditional Japanese interior: Tatami-floor, low table, kimono and futon mattresses on the floor The ryokan itself is not the newest, and doesn't look modernised or fancy at all. I guess the bathroom, kitchen and interior is from the 80's or 90's. But it's calm, spacy and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We were travelling as a couple. Imazato Ryokan was definitely one of the best places we stayed during our 3 weeks in Japan. The neighborhood is a quiet residencial area. No tourists around, but still very easy to reach in walking distance from Imazato subway station. Please be respectful and friendly :)
