Very tasteful traditional Japanese interior with some mid-century western style furniture. Very warm and friendly hosts. Beautiful garden. Excellent pick-up and dropp-off service from Kansai Airport (KIX).

山荘 風の杜 Sanso Kazenomori has a public bath and air-conditioned guest accommodation in Minoo, 12 km from Oohara Park, 14 km from Aeon Mall Ibaraki and 14 km from Ibaraki Shrine. The facility was very high quality and the view of the city was stunning.

Featuring free WiFi and a hot spring bath, Okumizuma Onsen offers accommodation in Kaizuka, 37 km from Osaka. Free private parking is available on site. Rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV. The hot springs were rejuvenating, the food outstanding and prepared with so much care, and the staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The Onsen is off the main transportation route, so make sure you arrange for a shuttle/taxi from the end of the rail line. The resort itself is a little dated, but our room was a spacious traditional Ryokan, which our two boys (ages 12 and 9) loved. I don't think they get too many international guests, since very little was translated to English and the staff used Google Translate to communicate, which worked fine. We also appreciated how empty the resort was during the week at the end of June (it meant we were brave enough to use the hot springs, Lol). It was too much of a trek to go back to Osaka from the onsen, so we decided to relax and hike in the beautiful nature. Thank you for the amazing memories!

At Fudoguchikan, guests can bathe in the open air, in a public hot-spring bath that boasts mountain and river views. Tranquil Japanese-style rooms offer river views, some from a private open-air bath.... The atmosphere (next to a river in the mountains) is fantastic. We stayed in a room with a private outdoor bath that overlooks the river in absolute privacy. The onsen water quality is very good. The room was large (16 tatami) and the futons very comfortable. The area is very quiet - only the whisper of the aircon and the pump of the outdoor bath could be heard at night. Women get to pick yukatas upon check-in to suit their style and size. We paid for half-board, which included a very sumptuous kaiseki meal in a private tatami room. The food was absolutely exceptional, and included drinks such as high-end sake. Breakfast -- traditional Japanese -- was also very delicious. The hotel provided a shuttle service from and to Hineno station, making the travel experience very easy.

Situated in Osaka, 700 metres from Matsunomiya Shrine and 1.1 km from Tsurumibashi Shopping Street, Suzuran Tengachaya offers free WiFi and air conditioning. We loved the breakfast. It was very delicious and well presented. The location is perfect as it's close to Metro station and supermarket. We felt very safe and very convenient to go out. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Located in Osaka, less than 1 km from Osaka Johnan Christ Church, Wafu Ryokan Uehonmachi provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. The service was superb! We arrived a little too early for checkin and were allowed to leave our backpacks. When we returned, the host had carried our backpacks upstairs! The host was extremely kind to us in every way possible. Our room was small but great. The futon slept really well, and the kotatsu was super cosy.

Set in Osaka, 200 metres from Shimoyamatobashi Monument and 1.1 km from the centre, Hotel Yu-shu offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. Great location and place to stay that is a short (5 minute) walk to the bustle of Dotonbori and close to the train line, the room was great value and very comfortable for the first futon beds I've used. They were also great in helping out getting a package delivered to my room.

Imazato Ryokan sijaitsee 5 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä Imazato-asemalta (metro ja Kintetsu-linja). Very good location, with nice room, clean common spaces and friendly staff. Near subway (5min walk) and Konbini. Parking also nice for cars. I recommend this place!
