The toiletries and coffee provided were high quality. The staff is very helpful with our needs and most of them understand English. Our front desk, Jane, was able to assist us with our luggage transfer from Kyoto to Osaka. They are also very responsive in the email and messages. Overall, it was a great place to relax after going around Kyoto.

Luck You Kyoto offers accommodation in Kyoto. Free luggage storage is available. The rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV. Lovely atmosphere in traditional surroundings. The free use of the amazing public baths immediately opposite the hotel was an unexpected bonus.

The breakfast was incredible, and the rooms have a modern Japanese style that feels cosy, futons were really comfy and we really appreciated having a small balcony in the room too. Staying here was like a little home away from home, and we loved meeting all the cats 🐈 They also have great restaurant recommendations if you’re looking for vegan/veggy options in the city. Craig and Helene are just the nicest people, we would 100% stay here again!

Located in Ine, 16 km from Manai Shrine and 16 km from Motoise Kono Shrine, 海蔵寺 宿坊 櫻海 provides air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. Very serene, comfortable setting. Accommodation and hospitality of host were excellent.

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, 祇園の宿 杏花 is located in Kyoto, 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station and 600 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. The place is beautiful and very central to visit Kyoto, the staff is very friendly and always attentive if we needed anything, a wonderful experience, we will return if possible.

Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki St. Provides accommodation located 600 metres from the centre of Kyoto and offers an open-air bath and a shared lounge. Spent the night here in Kyoto and wish I had booked another one! The staff is very friendly, prompt and kindly let us leave our bags before check-in and after check-out. The dinner option was also spectacular, with fluent english staff and a great pace to have a wagyu tasting.

Located within less than 1 km of Gion Shijo Station and a 15-minute walk of Samurai Kembu Kyoto, Ishibekoji Muan provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Kyoto. I loved this property, everything was so nice, clean, and modern, while still keeping the traditional vibe of Kyoto. I can’t recommend enough this place. The girls at the reception were so nice and helped us with everything that we needed. We even got a bottle of wine as a gift for our honeymoon. I will definitely choose this place again next time. I know it is on the pricy side, but the value you get is simply amazing. You will not be disappointed.

Set less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station, Gion Oyado Kikutani offers 3-star accommodation in Kyoto and features a garden. Excellent location, nearby key sightseeing spots, beautiful and spacious bedroom and bathroom for a family of three. Very nice staff.

In the Sakyo Ward district of Kyoto, close to Heian Shrine, 明和荘Mei Wa Inn features a garden and a washing machine. The hosts went out of their way way to ensure I had a great time during my stay in Kyoto. They were exceptionally kind.

We loved this clean and tidy hotel and it was perfect for our 2 night stay in Kyoto. The location is very close to the transit line which makes it easy when travelling with big bags.
