Located 1.5 km from Hakusan Shrine, TheMana Village is a recently renovated 3-star accommodation in Tosashimizu, featuring an open-air bath, free bikes and private parking. Breakfast and dinner was superb with excellent service. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our every need. The rooms were spacious and the view amazing. This is truly a dream come true kind of hotel.

Featuring an open-air bath and views of city, Jyoseikan is a ryokan situated in a historic building in Kochi, 34 km from Daizen-ji Temple. Private parking is available on site. Very friendly staff. I liked the traditional rooms and all the amenities. Onsen was a new experience.

Set in Kochi, 36 km from Daizen-ji Temple, Hotel Takasago provides accommodation with free bikes and private parking. Staff was extremely helpful and let us park our expensive e-bikes in the lobby overnight!!

Situated in Ōtaguchi in the Kochi region, 山荘梶ヶ森 features accommodation with access to a public bath. Absolutely fantastic little guesthouse (and observatory) right off the beaten track and in the most peaceful hillside location, you’re really up in the hills with great views. Very affordable Japanese style rooms, really clean and comfortable even for a group (8) sharing a large family room! Shared bathrooms with good showers and a lovely warm bath. You can request breakfast (Japanese style) and a basic noodles or curry & rice dinner which is simple, but really hits the spot after a day exploring the Iya Valley. The folks running the guesthouse were super friendly, helpful and generally all round lovely, showing us round the observatory and helping us with stargazing. We only intended to stay one night but loved it so much we stayed an extra night! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, such a very special place.

Misaki Kanko Hotel is a 3-star property situated in Muroto. This ryokan offers free private parking and a housekeeping service. The location is absolutely superb. Our stay here was a fantastic experience. We availed of the men's and women's hot baths, which were wonderful, and wore the kimonos that were supplied in the room. The hosts were kind and welcoming, and breakfast was very generous. We have marvellous memories of our stay here.

まなべ旅館 is set in Sukumo, 1.5 km from Sukumo City History Museum, 8 km from Enkoji Temple, and 21 km from Kanjizaiji Temple. It is situated 24 km from Shidenkai Museum and features luggage storage... Very friendly , clean and the food was exceptional.

KAMENOI HOTEL Kochi offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 26 km of Daizen-ji Temple and 27 km of Nishihama Park. Room was comfortable, with a great view of the Niyodo River. Dinner was excellent, one of the best of my trip.

Tennenonsen Harunonoyu offers a sauna and free private parking, and is within 28 km of Daizen-ji Temple and 28 km of Nishihama Park. Got the in-room rotenburo option and it was just what we were looking for - temperature is suitable for smaller children, and they could play with the water inlet flow without disturbing other guests in the public bath.. Faciities as expecte and functional.

Offering a terrace and river view, Riverside Hotel Shoei is set in Kochi, 35 km from Daizen-ji Temple and 35 km from Nishihama Park. This 2-star ryokan offers a lift and full-day security. Fun traditional experience in a beautiful city!

Sansuien features an open-air natural hot spring bath, a Japanese garden and Western and Japanese-style rooms, only a 5-minute walk from Kochi Castle. The Japanese room was spacious. The breakfast very good. Lots of great options of western and Japanese food. Delicious!
