The breakfast is best! We have been in so many full board resorts in Japan. Here is the best home cooked breakfast. Better than namy luxurious resort in the region. We loved this hotel! The staff was so friendly and incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived. We are cycling in Japan and are usually a mess by the time we arrive and they helped us find a place for our bikes and quickly check us in. All the drinks, snack and popsicles were unlimited and a joy. I made an espresso in the AM. Perfect. The dinner was exquisite. One of our favorites with fresh sashimi, and light delicate tempura. All the staff explained each item and local ingredients made it extra special. We ate double gohan beer had a big appetite. Special thanks to all who made us feel welcomed! The 2 crazy cyclists!

I think it’s the most beautiful and charming hotel we stayed at so far! The rooms and onsen are just stunning, traditional looking but extremely clean and well maintained. The women’s bath is incredible, very high ceiling and you get the impression to go back in time a few centuries. The staff was exceptional, making us feel very welcome and comfortable, so friendly and helpful. The food was michelin standard, and the ryokan is basically in the middle of a beautiful forest - everything was perfect!! Thank you so much!
Free bookable private Onsen, good location (minutes from station), no frills ryokan.
Excellent Onsen as authentic hot spring with high sulfur content. Although it is a bit small. Dinner was excellent.
Location is great. Onsen is spacious. Outdoor onsen is good. Restaurant serves reasonably priced food. Nice Japanese style room with futons and yukata.
Traditional breakfast, cooking my own scrambled egg and bacon on the table top stove, lovely service, sofa in the room, old style decor, being shown to my room, communal bath as well as room bath, traditional ryokan guest clothing.
Onsen and the tatami seating downstairs
Room was large, didn't lack anything. The Ryokan have two private onsen (indoor) you can use anytime. Staff was super friendly!! Meal was ok (not huge, but ok!), traditional Japanese style. Place was all trraditional style and located in a small town near a dam, with beatifull scenery. Very quiet place you can only access by bus. There is a combini nearby.
Great ryokan in a isolated lakeside town with a decent onsen. In winter it was very peaceful and quiet.
The location was excellent - very close to Aomori station and the Nebuta Museum! The staff was also very helpful when explaining things to me. As well, the room had a very Japanese style, and the yukata provided was very cute! Finally, the futon bed on the tatami was much softer than other futons that I have slept on during my trips in Japan, so I was pleasantly surprised.
